I hate the word "white" it to me is becoming dehumanizing in some fashion. Perhaps I find Anglo/Saxon/American better, but I guess I cannot put a handle on it yet.

I hope they leave it up. I've never been one for censoring ignorance. Perhaps give this guy a warning on his record (one more strike and he's out) or something, but no need to censor an idiot

I would agree with that. Sometimes I opt for the one word version in order to prevent having to write a long phrase over and over.
