You should read the book. Pat deals at length with the de-Christianization of America, which be blames, not on immigrants, but on the left-wing cohorts of Bill Clinton who now control the culture-forming institutions in America.

The Immigration Reform Act of the mid 1960's often makes me suspect that immigration policy was changed by 1960's democrats to puposely prevent Protestant immigration to America, thereby diluting the cultural and political influence of the Christian Right.

Ah, my friend has smelled something in the "Immigration Act". I believe it was 1965, look closely and you may find Teddie Kennedy (?). Need I say more.

You seem to be unaware:

A. The Roman Catholic church's members outnumbered members of any other Christian church BEFORE the 1960s (think back to Irish and Italian immigration of the 1800s, not to mention the people who founded Maryland in the 1600s)

B. Pat Buchanan, Alan Keyes, Gene Taylor, and many of the most vocal "Christian Right" are NOT Protestant.
