December 31, 2001 -- Could someone get word to Sen. Hillary Clinton that America is at war? Her pro-Bill mantra is not only tiring, it seems egocentric at a time when we must pull together as a nation ("Bitter Hill takes a spin on Bill's p.r. machine," Dec. 22). Hillary should stay focused on New York state and quit whining about her husband being "better" than President Bush.

There are millions of Americans who know nothing about FreeRepublic...but they sure know about the Clintons. Some of our friends who had voted for Clinton (twice) have no idea why they voted for him. They made a 180-degree change in their political thinking during the election, voted for Bush, and are now actively condemning the Clinton Administration.
FreeRepublic is a great forum...but the real forum is out on the street; thankfully, the light of the Bush Administration is shinning a light on the darkness of the Clinton Administration and causing Americans to see the deception that was imposed upon America during the Clinton years.
Slime looks so much slimier when it gets compared to a very high decent standard. Thank you GW!
But HILLARY! might want to seek her ideological roots in the 1940's, rather than the 50's...
Use black and white, with simulated film scratches, Hil. Have your flying monkeys film you from a moving car as you goose-step down Madison Avenue, while rendering a snappy, bouncing Roman Salute. And don't forget to have a phalanx of faux bodyguards, in Waffen SS togs, toting MP-40 submachineguns and firing blanks into the adoring crowds lining the street.
German march music, circa 1939, and an announcer-cum-cheerleader extolling your enormous accomplishments in the past and glorious plans for the future should complete the package perfectly.
Do that, mein fuhrer-frau, and my Dr. Strangelove arm may begin to twitch...
I can't promise you a proper Roman Salute, HILLARY!. But I can guarantee you my arm raised, with at least one of my fingers standing proudly at attention to honor your bitch-goddess highness as you pass by.
She can only wish. I think it is the VRWC, and were still here.
No she'll probably say, "since the 9-11 terrorists attacks people have a right to fell angry about that. it's almost part of the healing process. They can blow off steam any way they want to"
That's a rework of her response to being booed off stage at the concert for NYC firefighters and police.
Hilary brushed it off saying that it was ''almost part of the healing process'' and that the police and fire fighters can blow off steam any way they want to.'' Making herself part of the process listening to the people and feeling their pain. She is part of the process all right, the process of heroes waking up. They werent blowing off steam. They were protesting her big time!
Great line. Those full of truth always are. Lots of talking to the chior in fr (which is good, to reinforce or modify our outlook) but we can have our perceptions rule reality. It is our neighbors we need to convince.
I thought that when x42 went on MTV in 1992 that it represented a novelty, but I can now see that the Xlintons have both developed a new type of political campaign, using words only as tools to create images, or memes, that leave an impression even (or especially) after the words themselves are forgotten.
HRC, on her only visit to an NYC firehouse this month, gave a rambling speech which ended with "this (the WTC atrocity) should never happen to another child".
What will persist in long-term memory for the Oprah faithful is not the context of 9-11 which she and her husband did so much to create, and not that she wipes her ass with the burial shroud of 343 firemen, but that she's "for the children".
They are both amazingly dangerous, because of their mastery of modern mind-control techniques.
I do not at all share the confidence of many on this forum that she will lose in 2004. Not when many who vote for her have no idea why they do so.
I'm with you Jim...the fact is the "Red/Blue" election map results could easily look the same as in 2000...with Hillary a close winner. Any country that can elect Bill Clinton to two terms is capable of just about anything.
I think that this true of the majority of the voting public. Most people do not pay attention to politics on a daily or weekly bases out side what they see on TV.
They get their political news via sound bites. What the major news outlets want them to hear and think is all they ever know.
So it only natural that in New York the liberal capital of the US, that these people would vote for Hitlery and not have the foggiest idea why is no surprise.
Their political education is all sound bites no substance.
LOL. Makes you want to run home and log onto the latest posts, doesn't it? I know the feeling and thanks for your thoughts.
