Armed citizens can make it more difficult for attackers (John Lott)

With the FBI issuing alerts, what should American's do to protect themselves? We have all heard that we should be observant and report strange events to the police. In the last weeks, other things have been added to the list, such as be careful of letters with powdery substances. Yet, one option has not been encouraged. News articles mention the large increase in gun sales that have taken place since Sept. 11, but fail to mention the benefits and belittle those who buy the guns. We could learn something about responding to terrorism from Israel, and encourage more ordinary, responsible citizens to carry guns.

Think first. Write later.

He's a disruptor, not an intellectual. He's just trolling for flames.

Why is it that ONCE in the history of Canada there was a shootout in a school and kids were killed but that in our beloved country it happens EVERY year

The school shooting you speak of happened because a bunch of panty waste pussies in that room did nothing to stop it.

For those unaware of that shooting it occured at a technical school and a man with a mini 14 walked in and told all the men to leave. They did and they guy shot up all the women.

Now tell me disruptor, How many of those women would be alive today had either of the following happened?

All the men rushed the shooter before he started shooting?
or
One person armed with a concealed weapon had put a JHP into and through his sternum?

It is also a fact that the crime rate in lower B.C. is SKYROCKETING and the crime of choice is now armed home invasions. Too bad it is against the law in that province to have your weapon loaded and locked up in a readily accessable safe.

That's right you have to have your weapon stored unloaded or in an unaccessable safe.

That's what a criminal calls a target rich environement.

It's immoral for people to NOT resist criminals as they are putting the burden of protecting them on the rest of us.

Ever heard of anyone doing an armed robbery of a gun shop?

A few years back a guy tried to hold up a gun shop in Renton,WA. even though a patrol car was parked outside. The police had just switched from revolvers to pistols. The cop couldn't get his pistol to shoot, but the clerk killed the perp with one shot. Another armed citizen was ready to take action, but wasn't needed..Back to training for the cop......
