We really shouldn't underestimate those people.  The World Trade Center was not brought down by idiots. Consider them as intelligent enough to accomplish their goals and act accordingly to eliminate the enormous threat they pose.

Some thoughts about this article. First, the phrase "Nero fiddled while Rome burned" comes to mind on how the Clinton administration and Congress in general has handled the entire terrorist situation. Second, as I read this article, even tho' surprised the NYTimes would print it, I picked up the theme of "blaming the CIA & FBI" more so even than Clinton. Third, when is Congress and/or media going to admit that the OK City and TWA bombings were in fact terrorist acts? They may think average Americans are stupid, but we're not!!
