I think we all know that doesn't always happen. There hasn't been any reversal of our gun control laws yet has there? The court generally refuses to hear any case dealing with the second ammendment, effectively annulling it.

The constitution is only as good as our honor. China's constitution guarantees them virtually the same rights as Americans. Unfortunately for them it's not worth the paper it's printed on. When we trample on the constitution in order to stop drug abuse, or save the children or whatever feel good cause is popular, we diminish all of the rights enshrined within it and if we keep going this way our constitution will be as meaningless as China's.
