I say again, thank you so much to all who have read and offered encouragement, suggestions, and most of all, your prayers. It helps more than you know to know there are people out there who care. In the world in which we live, that's easy to forget sometimes. MM |

understood and praying
1 Timothy 1 15-17: Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners--of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his unlimited patience as an example for those who would believe on him and receive eternal life. Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

We've both talked until we're blue in the face and it goes in one ear and out the other. Then stop it!
Your son is an adult. As a parent, your only job now is to love him, that's all. His personal life is no longer your business unless HE comes to YOU and asks for advice, help, etc. Until then, if anyone comes to you with tales of your son, stop them in midsentence and tell them, "My son's personal life is personal. If he wants me to know something, he will tell me. Thank you anyway."
All you've got to do is love your child.
Prayers are winging their way on you and your family's behalf.

Prayers on the way...
To: MississippiMan
Dear Sir,
Read post 54 aloud, with your wife. Shout it out, MM, for Jesus Himself said in Mark 16 that believers have power over devils to cast them out. Your son is probably NOT possessed by devils, but is influenced by them, thanks to all the smut overwhelming the secular media.
Again, read that prayer in post 54, and agree with me to free that man for Jesus wants him free MORE than you do, Freeper. Trust Him.

Prayers on their way!
Yes, prayer works!
And, BTW, thank you, LeeMcCoy for your prayers for me and mine these past months. My hubby has come through this tough time and is doing well..thanks, I know, to God at work in answer to multiple prayers. God bless you and yours now and always!

I'm joining in the prayers for this young man and his loving family!

Prayers are with you. Tip: My kids don't listen to me neither when I talk until I'm "blue in the face." I learned to shut up and listen to them talk. You learn alot about what's going on in their life that way. A few words of wisdom goes a much longer way than constant talking until your "blue in the face."

Ff, I've studied and implemented the #54 prayer several times already and will continue to do so. No, I'm not concerned about him being literally possessed but he's no doubt influenced in a huge way. I forgot to mention a salient point; he was saved himself as a pre-teen. Always got comments from his Sunday School teachers about what a great grasp of the Bible and the concepts he had. Gosh how those times have passed us by.

I'm praying for you and your son. I walked the same road when I was young and the Lord Jesus pulled me back to the straight and narrow in time. Pray hard with fasting sometimes and get as many Christians as possible to pray for your son. Don't ever give up. God bless you.
Bump to the prayer lists.

Praise the Lord, MM, that your son has been saved. He's Jesus' concern now, and the Lord generally wins. Since the outcome is certain, let's praise the Lord for His victory, with God's speed. Remember, the Lord's timing is perfect, hallelujah!

Bill Clinton and G.W.Bush both strayed in life. G.W. saw the light and became one of the most admired and powerful and good men in the world. Clinton will always walk the gutter. With all of us praying, maybe your son will become the "Prodigal".

Prayers on the way. I went thur something like this. It may take 2 years, it may take more, but God does answer prayers. Hang in there and have faith and patience.
