Why do we give MFN status to a country which routinely violates weapons embargoes, tries to disrupt Taiwanese elections, and tries to take out our recce aircraft? I hope a little trade works for the Chinese like being a bit pregnant or being slightly infected with HIV.

I suspect the Europeans are gnashing their teeth because Boeing will once again be the Chinese government aircraft of choice.

Will Boeing build them here? I doubt it. Boeing will tool up in China. So in short China will have a plane factory. If China want's to buy Boeings I don't care as long as they say on them and are indeed MADE IN AMERICA. But I doubt that China is as stupid as we are in that sense.

Its real simple ... vote with your wallet! If its says Made in China ... don't buy it! Sooner or later they'll get the message.

What upsets me is every time I hear this "Boycott China Products" mantra, it's coming from a union member.

Naturally, this is a tough one for me.. Deciding which I hate more. The Chinese or the Unions.

Hehe. That is a dilemma. Personally, I don't give a rat's ass about China one way or the other. Not when it comes to trade. The whole US textile industry could go belly up and I would still sleep well at night. Part of that is from not knowing anything about international trade. And part of it is just not having any reason to care.
