Bill Clinton vetoed a bill banning partial birth abortion. In principle he shouldn't have any say in the matter and neither should congress. However, we live in the world of "facts and logic" as you have repeatedly proported (but have yet to demostate) and the issue will come up. If possible I believe most people on FR would pick a strict constitutionalist who would leave R v. W to the courts over a strict pro-lifer who wouldn't, but in the real world, it is highly unlikely such a scenario would occur.

Incidentally, would you vote for someone who believed in gun control but was a strict constitutionalist who thought owning a gun shouldn't be a right, but would use an ammendment to overturn it?
