Thank God! I was so sad Rush couldn't listen to music anymore. This is wonderful news.

This is wonderful news, but I believe Rush said on his program a couple of weeks ago that the implants do not transmit music well. He did say he could remember a lot of music very well, so he may still be able to enjoy what he can hear.

I emailed Rush when he first announced his problem.

Harold Dean Miller, a Mennonite writer, travels around the country with his family, giving talks about Christian music, and performing concerts at churches. Several of the children have cochlear implants, and the family sings beautifully. Since it is four-part acappella singing, I would think they can hear music well enough.

PTL for the successful surgery.

Well, with his paycheck maybe he'll be able to upgrade it to include an MP3 converter. ; )

Hey, I imagine just hearing his wife's voice will be music to his ears!
