Don't answer my question with one of your own.

Why? I asked mine first only it wasn't really phrased as a question the first time. I'll answer your question with a statement since you didn't like my question. If I recall correctly your question was regarding how the chromosomal defects happened. My updated reply which will let you avoid my question is: an imperfect system that is prone to outside forces (microbes, virii, bacteria) that effectively alter the "normal" genetic characteristics. That is of course only one possiblity.

You're backpedaling, and you're remarks regarding God are disingenuous as well as being untruthful.

My only remark regarding your god is that I don't believe. I assure you that remark is most certainly not untrue.

Ya see, God didn't want to just create a bunch of robots, so he gave mankind a free will...<snip>

And just for kicks decided to throw in a few time bombs (imperfect genetic structure, disease, cancer, birth defects) to "test" his creations? You know what, if I could build a machine that could make "choices" I still wouldn't use bearings with pits, or gears with missing teeth. So maybe I am smarter or better than your god--I'd really never thought of that before.

So, can I assume that you're an atheist?

If you do you'll be assuming wrong. I'm agnostic. I won't deny that it's possible that there's some kind of supernatural beast out there that's having fun at some people's expense. I won't deny that it's possible that said beast guided the origin of matter and life. But if it did happen that way then there are one of two possibilities: 1. The creator isn't perfect or 2. The creator intentionally causes pain and suffering in its creations.

I hope it's #1, because #2 would mean that the creator is quite evil.

Bonnie Barrett: "I'm not that old-fashioned," she said. "But ... What's wrong with just being butch?"

I've never thought that I'm wiser than your god, that would require me to first believe in it.

Equal...Ya need to stop contradicting yourself.
You say that you don't believe in God, yet ya blame God for this "confusion" some have over their sexuality. Now which is it?

As far as I'm concerned, we're a free country and if some woman wants to live her life as a male, then so be it. Same things goes for men wanting to live as women.

So be it, Millie...until they come into schools and want to propagate their perversions.
Sorry, if something is wrong, indecent, immoral, and outright sick, people should say so.
I think America needs to become a little less 'accommodating', eh?

Well Dimensio, He also gave His angels a free will.
Seems about 1/3 of them decided that they were smarter than He.

Yes, and as the argument would have it, He should have known what they would do before He even created them.

What I can't figure out is, if a lesbian is supposed to be attracted to other women, why do they end up with women that are more masculine than most men?

The only men are those people having Y chromosomes.

Anything else is a sham or a mutation--i.e., abnormal.

The business of medicine should be to correct abnormalities--not to create them.

Are people born with an XY chromosome pair but posessing female sexual organs men or women? What if a person was born with an XX pair and a penis?

Doesn't surprise me you'd think this...just another aspect of your paranoia.

It's not just the transgendering, but the fact that it's either being done on taxpayer money, or on health insurance plans where private companies (read fellow employees) are forced to pay.

A dubious conclusion, but that still leaves out lesbians who do not have sterotypical haircuts, clothing or behaviour.

Those are the lesbians who don't mind men watching them perform various stunts with each other. Lipstick lesbians are socially acceptable in the town I live in only because they are pleasing to the eye. As for the bulldykes who want to become male...go for it...it might actually improve the aesthetics of the areas in which they inhabit, as long as they don't put bandanas on their dogs.

Really now, I'd not heard of that particular stereotype. Next time I meet a lesbian who isn't stereotypically "butch" I'll mention that little tidbit and ask if I can watch...

On second thought, I won't. It would be rude and I'd probably be punched out for it (and rightfully so).

He [sic] said he [sic] has known that his [sic] gender was wrong for as long as he [sic] remembers

Is this a case of a male-brain with the wrong body?

Or is it a female-body with the wrong brain?

Is the body wrong or is the brain wrong?

Do we operate on the body?

Or do we operate on the brain?

What do we call people who are born with two heads?

I'm sure He did.
But as for myself, I'm not presumptuous to think I could know His reasons. After all He created me, and everything else, not the other way around.

I agree here with the concept that many people I know who are transgenders or lesbians are doing that which seems more correct for them. Why should someone elses's body be YOUR concern? It should'nt and personal sexual ideals are granted to us under the Constitution. I am amazed as to how many people in this country are transfixed on sexual differences of others. It's rude, cruel and totally uncalled for. Some people ,I guess, just have'nt learned about respect for others yet. And as for the spiritual aspect for transgenders and lesbians etc. it's nobody else's business. In this country there seems to be a cemented fear of ANYTHING SLIGHTLY different no matter what the subject. What a shame....because the universe is a constantly evolving energy that encompasses everyone. Some out there better start bending with the wind. It's time for americans to accept new concepts and changes ...at least as far as accepting other people's physical differences. What hair is it off your back?
