But believe there is SOME merit in trying to wake up the deaf, dumb and blind . . . some may turn out to be less so than thought.

Not vanity, VaBthang. If we don't tell them and make them aware, who will? That's the reason I often, where appropriate let them know what is predicted. Hopefully it will be food for productive thought.
