Let me second that... I lived thru this shameful period ( and the Sandanista stuff, too... ) and recall it oh! so! Well!

Iran was dragged back into the Dark Ages- the Shah may have been an SOB to some people, but he was trying to modernize Iran.

Jimmy Carter is a worthless piece of pig crap. I don't for what he says, in fact I never read anything posted about him--including this.

Maybe Carter was almost as bad as Clinton. I used to hang around some of those Iranian extremists, they would burn the US flag and supported bringing down the Shah but even they could never really spell out what was wrong with the Shah, they even admitted it was the Shah who sent them to the US and gave them scholarships so they could bring good skills back to Iran and build the country up. They lost all that.

Carter had lots of commie friends in congress who helped him in his nefarious deeds......the man is truly disgusting and was in a race to the bottom of the list of great men until clinton came along. Now they are tied for the sewer.
