My observation has been that W is nobody's fool, despite the smear campaign from the left.

My assumption is that the 'islam is peaceful' hand jive is required by some (perhaps critical) political or tactical expediency.

If it is truly required that we give empty lip service at this time to what I regard as an outright lie, I'm willing to defer (for a time) to those with a better view of the whole situation. I know that there are times and places when an enemy must be plied with deception in order to reduce the level of threat that they present.

And it is amusing the way that many of the moslem mad dogs appear to have been duped into believing that we believe that they are 'peaceful'.

Let's see if I'm getting your point here: You're saying that Bush's deference to this cult is just a strategy of which you approve, but you're revealing his strategy to the public on an internet forum. Why should any of us applaud a politician for manipulating our opinions and failing to be honest with us in order to pull off some strategy he's devised?

I think that you may want to prepare yourself for the possibility that you've confused the observation and assumption headings in your post. No offense intended, of course.
