Please excuse my Vanity but I've studied the book of Revelation looking for a hint of where and what the USA will be involved in at that time.
I come up empty, can any of you Bible scholars point me in the right direction?

Thank all of you for the input. I have lots to read and study now. I also got some good private letters and a few really nasty ones from some unbelievers. I mean REAL nasty. I can't repeat them here.

I take it you don't read the Bible for yourself. If you did you would know that the 144,000 are Jews that will be spreading the word in the Tribulation period. The idea that they are all that is saved is a Jehovah Witness fallacy. If I am wrong and if you own a Bible (which I doubt) Give me the Chapt. and verse of what you are spouting. Not to butt-in but...
Do Jahovah Witnesses REALLY believe only 144,000 people will go to heaven? Aren't there a LOT more than 144,000 Jahovah Witnesses around? And if so, it becomes a matter of who is a BETTER Witness? Serious questions...

>Is the USA in the book of Revelation?Yes, and Jeremiah, Isaiah, Ezekiel and many other places. Only those who truly repent will be given "eyes to see" meaning God will reveal His truth only to those who repent and seek him with all their heart, soul and mind. Those who don't repent and who allow sin to remain in their lives will never have truth revealed to them; the Bible says they are "ever learning and not able to come to a knowledge of the truth." Click on these:
51 - many prophecies and links about Mystery Babylon and America.
1997 Dream of women captured - the Muslim connection.
231 - on dreams of Chinese invasion of America.
Jerry Golden: Vision of New York 10-6-01 - no repentance afterwards.
Is America Babylon? This is the six part series by Stewart Best. It discusses whether America is Mystery Babylon described in Jeremiah 50 & 51, Is 13, Ezekiel 38 and Revelation 17 & 18 and if so the consequences. It is very complete. If you are short of time, start with Part 5: Part 1, - 2, - 3, - 4, - 5 (start here), - 6.
Who will be saved?

But it's so general. It could refer to anything, really. That you're specifying the significance of lamb and dragon is a matter of choice and interpretation on your part, because there is nothing in there that is specific only to the USA. The lamb could refer to the US and the dragon to the USSR. Or perhaps the lamb is the Protestants and the dragon the Catholics. Or some other entities in the past ... or way off in the distant future. There's nothing wrong with interpreting, but you should recognize it as interpretation and not as simply reading a "fact".

"Actally as I read Rev. there seems to be two Babylons. One as an economical world system and one as a literal city. Do you get that idea? Thank you for the input.Just came on... haven't read all the threads, but did you know that Saddam has been quietly rebuilding "Babylon?"

I do think you need to do some studying. I'm no expert, but I did some once I got curious.
I believe the 144,000 refers to the Jews (from all tribes of Israel) that will convert to Christianity once the rapture happens.

"And really makes you think that you are one of the 144,000 lucky ones?" Your ignorance glows a bright fluorescent orange.
The 144,000 are the 12,000 from each tribe of Israel that will be sealed, and witness during the tribulation.

"US is tribe of Menasseh..." Well then the tribe of Menasseh must have gone to Greece, Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Holland, Denmark, Sweeden, Norway, Finland, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Russia, China, Japan, Korea, Hungary, Romania, Turkey, Armenia, and Iran to name a few of the countries from which the population of the U.S. came from.
Take that British Israel heresey to some neo-NAZI board where it belongs.

Tornado, how many times do I have to tell you: a day is as a thousand years and a thousand years as a day. What is time to God? Except that the "shortly" quote is an angel speaking to John, it's not God speaking. And when Daniel is given his prophecy of the Messiah, he's told to seal it up, for the things that it describes are still a long way off. They happened 570 years later (give or take a few). How is it that 570 years is a "long way off" in Daniel but 2000 years plus is "shortly" in Revelation.
Revelation makes a whole lot more sense from a partial-preterist and amillenialist point of view. Most of the things you're reading about were fulfilled, rather literally, in the conquest of Jerusalem in the first century. Note that the conquest of Jerusalem is a foreshadowing of the end of all things, so they will be figuratively fulfilled again by the events preceding the end of time.

What's funny is the same people who espouse the preterist view point argued for centuries that Israel whould never again regain its land. God was through with Israel per se. Israel still hasn't regained its land. There's a Jewish state which calls itself "Israel," but Biblical Israel had 12 tribes. The Jews are the descedants of Judah and Benjamin. The other 10 were dispersed among the nations by the Assyrian conquest in 722 BC.
That hasn't changed.

You are in a sense, quite correct, Israel has not regained the entire piece of land God granted them. As for the so called "lost" tribes of Israel, that myth has been debunked. That notion has led to the foolishness of British Israelism and other heresies that folks like the Christian Identity movement embrace.

By the way, if you are a Bible beleiving Christian I do not want to come across as argumentative. There are many more important things about Christianity that I'm sure we are unified on. :-)

When I said the "world", I meant the entire universe. Sorry for not being more clear on that.
