Maybe, but Congress always controls the purse strings. Just defund the stupid thing. Let the 'Rats scream. When they do, throw it back in their ugly faces. Berry is the one who is trying to play hardball. Fine. Two can play it that way. Just cut off their money, and let them raise their own funds.

How many commissioners do they need present to have a quorum? What if enough stopped attending meetings in protest so no business could go forward?

Why not issue an EO to do away with the commission. Like clinton's shill remarked at one time, paraphrased: A stroke of the pen, law of the land. Use their own dirty tactics against them.

True. Curiously, the U.S. Code says:

Sec. 1975d. Termination
This chapter [Title 42, Chapter 20A: "Civil Rights Commission] shall terminate on September 30, 1996.
