"Either send in U.S. Marshalls and arrest Berry or disband the Commission."May I be so bold as to suggest both.
To: deport
I think Berry is committing "malfeasance in office".
my comment "you are right" was in reference to Bush forcing them to go to court vs. administration.
To: JeanS
So who is racist? When did President Bush and Attorney General Ashcroft step down and make Ms. Berry king? Get a court order and have them escorted out by US Marshals (don't forget to videotape the peacful removal to prevent Dim spin).

So what? When has concern for the law stopped the Rats from doing what they want. It certainly never stopped X42 and we all know he took pleasure in raping the Constitution and the laws for the rest of his time in office. Same with Madame De La Farge... er Berry of the U.S Civil Rights Commission and her comrades in arms.

I happen to agree with the school that favors disbanding the entire commission. I fail to see what purpose a federally appointed board serves when all it does is listen to the gripes of minorities. In fact, everyone of their hearings in the past couple of years has been about how blacks have been denied their fare piece of the pie in this country.
To: Defiant
I agree. That does sound like the way to go.
To: JeanS
Looks like it's no accident that Berry's initials are M.F.B.!

Cut off the money - that always works. If trying to avoid an open battle, just lose the paperwork, nitpick etc. No sinecure, no reason to be on this passe board.
To: deport
Not more than four members shall at any one time be of the same political party. And there are how many 'RATS on the commission???? Hmmmm.

I'm voting for "neglect of duty" myself - as the head of the commission, surely it's her duty to seat the duly appointed commissioner.

"the White House is trying to reshape the commission in an apparent retribution for some of his work...." And how is this any freeking different from the Liberal wankers on the commission trying to retain the shape of the commission in an apparent retribution for George Bush WINNING the 2000 Election?

You are so right. If we don't do anything about this NOW we will lose all of the battles everywhere and our country to the bargain. This is what happens when little people get big jobs. You can see where Pres. Reagan was right in getting rid of this person.

To be perfectly frank -
Is it any wonder that the black/white divide is getting wider all the time?
It's just another example of why we are "dis-integrating" as a country.
This is behavior similar to that of the boneheads with ultra-loud stereos in their cars that make the pictures on your walls bounce as they drive by. I've often wondered what I'd get if I blasted Mozart's Don Giovanni at max volume down in the 'hood?
Total and complete disregard for the normal, and necessary, COURTEOUS conduct of a polite society.

Found bits and pieces of info at several websites:
When the forces of darkness won the 1980 election, she promptly declared war on the Reagan administration. In 1984, fed to the gills with her noisy attacks on his civil rights policies, President Reagan fired her.
As Dr. Berry tells it, President Reagan informed her that "I was serving at his pleasure, and I wasn't giving him any pleasure."
Sadly, the firing didn't take. Dr. Berry sued, and was swiftly reinstated. In 1993, Bill Clinton named her chairman of the Civil Rights Commission.
Source
The Berry who fought to defend the Civil Rights Commission against President Reagan's appointees and Reagan himself as they sought to abolish both affirmative action and the commission. For that, Reagan tried to fire her.
Source
Berry, who has served on the nation's civil rights commission since 1980, gained notoriety in 1983 when she sued President Reagan for firing her along with several other outspoken critics of his administration's civil rights policies. Berry won the lawsuit and was reinstated by a federal district court.

The way they got around that was that Berry and some other Clinton appointee on the board claimed to be "independent."
To: Steven W.
I saw that report on Fox as well. Berry is claiming that the Clinton appointment papers were in error by stating an ending date. I guess she's going down the bureaucratic snafu storyline.
