WASHINGTON -- The White House summoned a local judge Thursday night to swear in President Bush's appointee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, seeking to avoid a public showdown with the panel's chairwoman, who had vowed to block the candidate.

"I have a commission from the president. I consider myself a member of the Civil Rights Commission," Peter Kirsanow, a Cleveland lawyer, said after the ceremony. "I expect to show up for work and not disappoint the president."

You have a human rights commission in every state now

which is directly hooked up to the United Nations by way of treaties.

The Human Rights commission is requiring that our government agencies, local police forces, fire departments, and local government agencies hire Moslims to make these agencies be diverse.

They, all but have destroyed America, because of these requirements.

They make sure that it is enforced because they are in every state now, just look in your local phone book.

Golly, this swearing in was so "secretive" that it was reported the next morning in the press. In fact, Jim Angle on FNC reported last night to millions that Bush's man would be sworn in by a judge inside the White House that night. Some secret.

Nah, the press doesn't have a liberal, anti-Bush bias. It's all in our imaginations.

"This is obviously a power play designed to muzzle the commission," Berry said before Kirsanow was sworn in. "This is not about us and the Bush administration. It's about the independence of the commission."

No, it is all these people placing themselves above the law: since they mean well, it makes them right. Whatever the substance of the issue. Whatever the methods.

Well, if your commission is "independent" of everyone else in Washington and the country, then anything your commission says doesn't hold the legal weight of dog sh!t.

I have only a couple of related questions:

1) Isn't this "woman" (apologies up front ladies) Berry paid with taxes?

2) Is her lawyer, who is arguing her mis-begoten, anti-American, pro-DemoNazi drivel, also paid with tax-payer's money?

If #2 is true, then she should not removed, she should be indicted.

It's time to end the stranglehold of left-wing loony incompetents on even the slightest nuance of this country's direction.

She pledged not to recognize Kirsanow at the panel's meeting Friday, saying it would take federal marshals to persuade her.

Mmmmm, I can't WAIT to see the video of this!

I haven't examined their charter, but I have to believe that the head of the so-called, anachronistic "Human Rights Commission" serves at the pleasure of the President of the United States.

I would, therefore, have to believe that this drooling wench has incurred the displeasure of the President and should be seeking employment elsewhere.

I'd suggest scrubbing toilets in Bed-Stuy.

Thanks for the link to the UN Forum story.

It is the reason why I say, "Whatever the UN Forum, I'm against 'em."

but it was not announced by the administration and surprised several members of the commission.

BS. IF WE knew about it, why didn't they? I knew about it yesterday afternoon, didn't you?
