An impeccable, hall of fame Washington Insider close to the State Department has said that they are furious that an attack on Iraq was 'put off the table.'
The source said that there was not enough unimpeachable evidence to make the war stick with the coalition and that the next target may be Indonesia.
Wolfowitz walked out of the decision meeting absolutely furious, which is interesting becuase it is usually the State Department who have been the 'doves' on this issue recently, but in the last few weeks Colin Powell has drastically changed his position to go after Iraq policy wise in the meetings.

Then that should be it, come home, and repeal the USA Patriot Act and all of the goodies that the FBI got. I almost agree. We MUST cripple or eliminate bin Ladens merry little band of terrorists, and to do this we need to take out the Saudi Royal family and their supporters, and a LOT of Egyptians. You don't wound a snake and give it the opportunity to recover enough to strike at you again.
America really should not attempt a worldwide crusade with country after country on its list, and I fear W. may be doing just that. If he really goes through with this "ridding the world of evil" stuff, America will at war perpetually.
Can you say "Bread and Circuses"? Can you say "high poll numbers"?
What will that do to us as a nation, at home, over the long term?
It will get people used to the idea of giving up "just one more" freedom in the name of "fighting terrorism".

You ought to do some reading about the problems in Indonesia before you go off half-cocked about what you BELIEVE you know.

What is your nationality to want the US to declare war on all their friends in the ME?

Deception planning is a wonderful thing.I have observed that in GWB's presidency, sometimes he plays a little game to keep certain people off balance. It's called "Fake left, go right".

Reminds me of another thread where the poster ranted on and on about somebody's behavior and concluded by saying that the person was "a trader to America!".

...it's probably time to bring back the draft. And this time, no massive exemptions - all fit men and women aged 18-28 should be eligible. Why don't we try letting the 28-55 group have a volunteer shot at Mr. Hussein first?
I'll be 41 in 3 weeks, but I'm fit; and as I have always told my kids, 'the older you get, the meaner you get'... ;-)
I'd go in a flash; and I'm sure the ranks would fill quickly with highly motivated, highly capable troops if they would only follow my (only half-facetious) suggestion.

I could go along with putting the lean on Indonesia. A lot of commercial shipping passes through the Strait of Malacca, especially oil tankers (I think about roughly a quarter of the world's trade, IIRC). Getting a base or two there would be most helpful when dealing with China.

Now I get it. I'm only sorry that the artwork over each alias didn't carry over. Now I understand why I hit a nerve. You are obviously blinded by your bigotry which goes so far as to deny an upcoming massacre of Christians that the whole (non-13th century) world is talking about. I would submit that it is, has been, and will be your co-religionists that embody the "problems in Indonesia."
