In the wake of three murderous attacks on Israeli civilians last weekend, Secretary of State Colin Powell was moved to declare that "It is a moment of truth, Mr. Arafat." It would be more accurate to describe this as a moment for truth.

Well written piece and spot on! It is a moment FOR truth.

And the truth is, Israel and the USA have gone far enough appeasing the Arabs. We have demanded Israel concede territory. We have announced our support for a Palestinian We have saved Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. And we give Egypt, Jordan and the PA as much as we give Israel. And what have they given us in return to advance this peace process? NADA. Zip. Nilch. Nothing. In fact, what we got was 15 middle class Saudis ramming jetliners into our most identifiable and populous buildings!

Now it is time for Saudi Arabia and Kuwait to step up to the plate and at the very least announce that they accept Israel as a Jewish state in principle. To announce that Israel is the land for the Jews as stated in the Koran. Same with Egypt and the PA. They should dramatically curb their antisemetic press, and crack down on these radical Wahhabists and Shiites who preach their anti-western venom and raise money for terrorists.

No more appeasement of the Arabs until they step up and play ball.

Bookmarked. Frank Gaffney is a regular guest on Hugh Hewitt's national radio show. Gaffney is "in the know" ---his statements are irrefutable, his observations and commentary are thee most learned and keen.

Gaffney is one of the Israel first Neo-Conservative crowd.
Ad hominem.

They're always spouting anti-Arab bile.
Lacks foundation.

When an American wannabe accuses an Israeli Prime Minister of "appeasement" towards the Arabs you know he's pretty far around the bend.

So when American conservatives complained about Nevill Chamberlain's 'appeasement' of Hitler they were "pretty far around the bend"?

You should quit while you're behind.

That's assuming that supporting the "militarists" in Israel isn't in America's interest. You speak in broad, vague terms. If the 'militarists' want to eliminate terrorists who murder Americans at home or abroad, I'd say that's in America's interest.

I've never heard of this author before, but you have not proven your point at all.
