Its a scooter. It has wheels. It doesn't hover. Its called a "Segway." Neat. Yawn. Thanks to
www.ginger_chat.com and Drudge for the heads up.

Big deal.
To: Enlightiator
well i'm underwhelmed.
To: Enlightiator
Seems as though it would fall forward or backward.
To: Enlightiator
It doesn't hover? LOL? Are you kidding?

But it doesn't. I saw the wheelchair this guy designed a few years ago and it did the same thing. It automatically kept its balance, no matter what they did or how they moved it.

Segway, eh? Decent name. It implies something better is coming. My advice is to wait for whatever that turns out to be.

*Psssh* forget those. Give me a loud Shelby GT500 any day!
To: Enlightiator
I'm impressed--NOT. Hope no one bought stock for this thing. Ouch!
To: Enlightiator
Thanks for the update. This is a hoot!

Wonder what a lurching drunk would look like on it? : )

Yeah, this'll revolutionize the world, as if we didn't have enough Jerry Nadlers already.... The only plus I can see is for the infirm, and I wonder if this product is a good idea for old folks whose remaining muscles are on the shaky side; not to mention their reaction time. Ever see a person well past his prime attempting to drive a car? How is an old geezer (I hit 50 next year, so I'm not that far away) going to manuever this thing safely through city streets, as is shown here?
To: Politico2
Wow I am soooooo excited....so this is going to replace the car? Hehe nothing looks lamer then someone wearing a bike helmet.
To: Induhvidual
And, gosh, they "only" cost $3,000 to go 17 mph, and get wet in the rain!
Detroit: Watch out!

What if you were to run into a clothes line, how would it balance then?
