At this point in time, I am just listing the highlights of subjects that those of you who were there and/or saw this on the news should comment on. I will post more detail later as verified information comes in. Thanks to everyone for your support and especially to those who showed up today. Also, may God Bless Free Republic for helping us communicate this way.
1. Kensington Town Kouncil "Taliban" were nowhere in sight today.
2. Mayor Raufaste spun this event out to the press as a "patriotic tribute" rather than a Christmas tree lighting.
3. Santa was NOT allowed to light the tree. The mayor used a wall of firefighters and rescue personnel to hide that fact.
4. All the major networks and news wires were there.
5. FReeper Santas dominated the event and made it very enjoyable for the children of Kensington. The oohs and ahhs from the kids were plentiful! Much more to be posted, soon...

HC, you have had pix of White participating in past events you coordinated for TRT, and had a rather contentious thread regarding White's ejection by the police from another Maryland group's meeting. It's not unreasonable for some who are only reading posts and reports by you on this thread to wonder about you and whether you have any loyalty to this guy. I know you, and I have to wonder what you are doing, regarding White. I don't think that I'm the only one reading this thread that wishes you would publicly distance yourself from the hate that White spews wherever he goes. Most other people who learn the truth about White are very vocal in condemning everything he stands for. It worries me that you haven't addressed the issue here.
I don't think it was fair at all to try and turn AppyPappy's question (which arose from a small misunderstanding of the facts - that White was moved to the TRT and FReeper corner, which he quickly corrected) into an accusation that he (AP) hates Jews.

This thread was created to document the wonderful things that the TRT/FReepers did in Kensington, Maryland, last Sunday, NOT as a sounding board for you and certain others to bitch about pet peeves or snipe at fellow FReepers who were there on the front lines. I'm sorry that my fellow FReepers have had to read about the violence that occurred between non-FReepers there and the (once again) soiling of one of my threads by you and others with their own personal axes to grind. But, then again, now others can clearly see that ruining this thread has been one of your intentions all along.
