Powell seems to be in agreement that Arafat had better put up or prepare to have to be punted. About time. No more false promises.... that ugly anteater needs to take immediate action or suffer the consequences.

Happen to have a copy of Netanyahu's book Fighting Terrorism in my hands. Just got it today and really looking forward to reading it. Have a great night.

we need a new cast of characters to negotiate the pitfalls of the mid-east, arafat is either a duplicitous murderer or he's totally ineffectual, or maybe a bit of both. there's got to be a paly who's willing to sit down and call off the savagery. as far as sharon is concerned, he's the israel of the 40's....he has too much baggage in his past. he was a warrior, he offended too many people. netanyahu who is both brilliant and tough is the man.

All I can remember is that her name was Pat. MSNBC has had Palestinians on right from the first moments, justifying the death and destruction rained down on innocent young people celebrating the end of the Sabbath.

Let me guess - this PMSNBC chick is Chris Jansing? This sounds like one of her stupid questions.

I watched some of MSNBC's converage, but was flipping to CNN (although MSNBC was the most current). I didn't hear THAT one--if I had, I would have been waaaay to tempted to kick in the set. I did hear the parade of PA spokesidiots bleating out the talking points--you know, the Israelis made us do it, it's the Israeli's fault, or some variation. I wanted to keep my dinner down, so I only listened through the bilge once or twice.

He also had to go through it, many times and with resistance, with Leon Russell on CNN...what a moron.

I just LOVE Bibi. I heard Bibi on CNN (gag) last night, and all that he said made perfect sense. Bibi may be PM again if Sharon doesn't DO something soon. Arutz says that the unity gov may be history if Sharon and the Labor party don't DO the right thing now.

Thanks for posting this. The downright stupidity of their "news" people and commentators is one reason I rarely watch anything on MSNBC.

While Netanyahu is probably my favorite politician and world leader, I don't understand why Israeli spokemen never stand up to the myth that the Palestinian territory is somehow "occupied". They never point out that the Syrians and Palestinians went to war against Israel (more than once) after making the '48 peace agreement. Therefore, the land that is now called "occupied" is really the legitimate spoils of war in the first place.

Every time one of the Palestinian slimeballs brings up the idea that the poor Palestinians are only responding to Israeli "occupation", his argument ought to be countered by the fact that they lost the territory in the first place by originally declaring war on Israel.

It's time that the Israelis stopped relying on our ignorant media and academia to educate Americans in basic hisory.

"More Bibi, less Powell."

. . .am worried that 'Washington' ie GW et al; are being too sensitive; fearing much should it look like they are listening to him; consequently, while Netanyahu tells it like it is. . .and with great wisdom offers 'best option scenariors'. . .no one appears to be listening to him. (. . .initial example of his warning about 'Federalizing' Security at airports. . .)

This is not the time for our being so proud; that we cannot listen and learn. . .even if very discreetly.

Would vote for him in a heartbeat. . .

Outside of Powell, I get the impression everyone (Bush, Rumsfeld) wants to drop bombs on Arafat.

Powell is the Neville Chamberlain of the current crisis. He MUST GO! He is a deficit to the Bush Administration.
