I want to thank everyone for their kind words, and those new monthly members, welcome!

Re my health, I can't remember who said this but it applies, "I have felt better, and I have felt worse. The main thing I can still feel this morning!"

We are having a critical financial committee meeting at our church today after our ten am service. I will put my shin guards, cup and face mask to go participate. We basically have a no holds barred financial meeting. We can't have feelings get in the way of making bad decisions!

So I will be off the boards until much later today!

Palo,

One of my Shar-pei's was very,very sick for a while.

It is a immune system problem similar to mediterrian fever in humans.

She had 107 fever, was not drinking or eating for a few days.
We had to give her pedialite by squirting it with turkey baster into her mouth.

Her rear leg hock was swollen to three times normal size, very painful, also swollen muzzle, vomiting the works.
Vet had her on IV for dehydration 2 days. Hubby was up all night with her putting crushd ice in her mouth.
She was also given tagiment and aspirin. Anti-biotics ng because there is no infection. Poor Baby

She is OK now, but this a a recurrent problem, gets worse with age.

I know it is only a metter of time.

Sorry I haven't been able to help bump this thread but my ISP has been having some real problems the last 2 days and I have only been able to get logged on half a dozen times and then only for a short period. Something has also happened to my computer and it totally locks up after a short time and I have to restart it with the reset button. I've been through 2 lockups just trying to make this response!
