At least we know where the Houston Chronicle's sympathies lie. Houston's Rat paper of record is undoubtedly relieved its all over. Now they can look forward to Lee P. Brown handing out the goodies after he secured their endorsement...

I bet nearly all blacks voted for Brown, but only 60% of the Hispanic voted for Sanchez .

The Hispanic gave this election to the RATS :(

One of the precinct judges was "missing" for five hours. She finally showed up with what she said were 950 votes. When asked where she had been she told the reporter, "It just hard tabulatin' all dem votes." True story! I'd bet there was voter fraud like you ain't never seen! Polls showed it would come down to a few hundred votes but it appears Brown will win by 10,000 votes. As long as the dems are in charge of the precincts we'll never be able to win.

And of course the reporter didn't ask her why she was "tabulatin'" votes. She's not supposed to be counting votes.

At least no one will accuse the Hispanics of voting in lock step. All the same I'm consoled by one good thing that's come out of this loss and that is while the Rats won in their Houston bailiwick, Texas as a whole will keep trending GOP. It won't do them much good if the Republicans make a clean sweep of the Governor's mansion and statewide offices, the State Legislature and the State's Congessional delegation next year. By putting all their eggs in the shrinking black vote basket the Rats in Texas are driving Hispanics into the arms of the GOP. Just look at how close it was in Houston. If the GOP wins 60% of the Hispanic vote statewide next year the Rats will be wishing they had Orlando Sanchez in office so they could find someone to blame for the economy or whatever. As it is they're stuck with the responsibilities of governing and paying the blacks back at the expense of the Hispanics. Doesn't say much for their exploiting the race card to secure their short-term interests at the expense of their long term ones now does it? But's that par for the course for the small Rat minds down in Texas.

The Democrat machine is a powerful one. They hand-out money, pints, whatever it takes. Agreed, Jews get a pass in Houston. I'm personally acquainted with two Jewish fellows in Houston, both GOP conservatives!
