You know..this whole Islam is peace crap makes me sick. First of all, it isn't true, but even if it were, it's a moot point. The leadership of all the countries that mandate that their citizens practice Islam are all dictatorships or monarchies. In almost all of these countries, other relgions are forbidden to be practiced...

I think people have been posting “Islam is peace” on some of these threads as a sarcastic joke. Islam certainly isn’t peace. Islamic countries are the most backward in the world, and it looks as if they are becoming the most violent. I think it’s time for a new Crusade.

Of all the Arabs I’ve met in life, the Christian ones (whose families were mainly from Syria and Lebanon) have been as normal and as civilized as any other Christians I’ve known. These people trace their Christian ancestry back to the years of the Crusades. But the Islamic Arabs I’ve met have either been rude and militant or just downright strange in the way they think about life in general.

From what I’ve seen of the non-violent Afghans (the refugees and the ones who don’t own guns and don’t want to fight) it seems to me that they could be helped tremendously if a lot of American and British missionaries were allowed into the country. I’ve seen Christian missionaries go into Nicaragua and completely change the mood and attitude of the people, after the Sandinistas started allowing for free elections in the early 1990s.
