Actually thanks to you and Jim Rob, I didn't go fishing yesterday. I ended up with that 5,000 Freeper thing in my head. I posted the thread at 8 am something in the morning and didn't get off line until 8pm something.
Today I have the tail end of a cold/virus, and it is raining so hard in No. California, the frogs are knocking on our doors wanting to come in out of the rain!
At age 63, I have become a fair weather fly fisher. Standing a$$ deep in an ice cold river, with ice cold rain coming down, wind gusting at 30 knots, your fly trying to hook you on every cast while trying to catch a steelhead has dropped from my list of fun things to do. Last weekend my older son went fly fishing on the Delta. Wind was about 35 knots, temp at about 49, with rain and fog, chill factor at about -12, and I said that I would stay home and watch the grand children. He just shook his head and went out into that weather for his great time! The grand kids and I had a great time!
