'The occasion was a departure for a state function, a routine operation,' Col. McKenney writes. 'Vehicles were lined up outside the White House... Young Chelsea Clinton, like everyone else, was assigned a specific sedan.' But when Chelsea was about to get into her limo, she turned around and declared: 'I wont ride in this car! Theres a military man in here, and I dont ride with military men!'
The 'military man' happened to be a senior U.S. officer. Being a gentleman, however, he quietly got out of the car and found another ride.
In a separate incident, Chelsea asked her young Marine security escort to wear civilian clothes in the future. 'My family doesnt like military people,' she explained.
Where, do you suppose, the 'young Chelsea' acquired such attitudes? At her home, of course.
And those are the two women (Hillary and Chelsea) whom President Clinton sent in March (1996) to boost the morale of our troops in Bosnia? Thats like sending 'Hanoi Jane' to cheer up U.S. troops in Vietnam'!"
And here's Chelsea...
AS Jesus said, "The greatest among you will be the servant of all".
Our President has the marks of greatness...which are demonstrated by his humility and grace.
Let's keep on with on prayers for him...the pressures, and tempatations to pride, that are flooding in on him daily are immense.
The price of liberty is eternal vigilance.

It should be the exact opposite -- those Conservative credentials that the media was bitching about, and those Conservative ideals that he supposedly used to espouse but suddenly cast aside for the sake of consensus, are what are needed to fix the economy and avenge the deaths of our fellow citizens (my neighbors and friends). Abandoning one's principles pisses on the graves of those who died rather than honoring their memory.
This is what Bill Clinton has left us...a person who acts with conviction, honor and dignity...someone who honors and respects the office to which he was elected is held up as some kind of hero, rather than someone who, like us, does the right thing because it's the right thing.
And we all thank God we got "Socialist lite." No thanks.
I'm going off to not sleep. Thanks for your time.
P.S. = Cobbie, you're kind of slow, aren't you? Texans are usually pretty smart.
P.P.S. = No disrespect intended to anyone (but COB1).
Hey, Thanks for sending my story to the president.Message received loud and clear! You are welcomed, and (as you well know), President Bush doesn't mind one bit! :-)I hope he doesn't get upset because I exposed his humilty, (it's a Texas kinda macho thang, ya know).
