We need the stewardship of 5,000 Free Republic members to insure the continuation of the Free Republic Life Form!

Jim Robinson said in yesterday's post: "My projections are that our regular monthly expenses for next year will be running in the neighborhood of $22,000 per month, or approximately $264,000 total for the year. This means we will need to raise approximately $66,000 per quarter."

If 5,000 Free Republic members who believe in paying their own way and that no free lunch ever exists, pledge $5/month. Jim's goals and needs will be quickly surpassed!

5,000 good stewards of Free Republic pledging $5/month will total $75,000 per quarter. That would allow Jim/John a little breathing room!

Many of us donate more per month than that. So please don't reduce your donation. We just need 5,000 regular pledgers to make things easier for Jim.

Are there 5,000 good Stewards out there who can afford $5/month to keep alive the Free Republic Life Form?

One way to afford this is to cancel your subscription to your left wing fish wrap or bird cage liner. Donate half of that monthly cost to your favorite charity and the rest to Free Republic. If you do this, you remove your money from the enemies of America and invest it with the friends of America, Free Republic! That would be a double winner for America!

Become one of the 5,000 Freepers who believe that there is no Free Republic lunch and that only parasites want something for free! Sign up for $5/month on a monthly auto payment plan!

Thanks for your kind words! Sam and I had some synergy going there.

Hopefully this can be a good start towards easing this fund raising for Jim/John, the regular fund raisers and old goats like me, who like to help out!

One of the key things in getting people started in something like this is to make it understandable re the need for their support and too make it easy for them to start and contribute on a regular basis! Hopefully that has been started.

The goal of 5,000 regular donors should be an ongoing goal for FR! New comers need to be made aware of the need and how they can help!

It has been a very amazing and positive day for me. We have a number of new pledgers who don't have jobs and a number of "old" pledgers who lost their jobs and still are maintaining their pledges. I have received some incredible and personal freepmails from people staying with us or getting on board!

If and when you have a few moments, you might want to scan through the replies my thread has received today!

Besides the positive replies and responses of new monthly pledgers/donors, there are some powerful testimonials for Free Republic and what you two do for us!

There are many new pledgers without jobs, pledging to support Free Republic. There are "old" pledgers without jobs, and they are maintaining their pledges!

All day I have received personal and moving Freep Mail from new and old pledgers! Some have been right from the hearts of the great Freepers! I will not violate their confidentiality, but I will say that you two are loved by many! I hope that doesn't embarass you. John, this is a double day for you, even your old man said that he loved you right here on Free Republic in the other thread!

So hopefully you can read some of the replies here to see how Free Republic Freepers feel about you and your gift to all of us, the Free Republic Life Form!

Have a great weekend, I will be on preordained family/friend situations and will be off the board for most of this weekend!

Count us in. My family does not think $120.00 per year is too much a price to pay for freedom of expression. When I quit my job nearly eight years ago to be a stay-at-home mom, it was by faith. Through the thick and thin of it, I can say that God's Word is true:"Do not worry about what you shall eat or what you shall drink, or what clothes you shall wear...". I learned that life's a smoothe sail when you trust in Him. We are thriving by God's Grace. I will simply stick the FR monthly contribution under the same umbrella.

FR was a big comfort during the 2000 post election period. It's a daily favorite hang-out. Thanks for being there!!
