We need the stewardship of 5,000 Free Republic members to insure the continuation of the Free Republic Life Form!
Jim Robinson said in yesterday's post: "My projections are that our regular monthly expenses for next year will be running in the neighborhood of $22,000 per month, or approximately $264,000 total for the year. This means we will need to raise approximately $66,000 per quarter."
If 5,000 Free Republic members who believe in paying their own way and that no free lunch ever exists, pledge $5/month. Jim's goals and needs will be quickly surpassed!
5,000 good stewards of Free Republic pledging $5/month will total $75,000 per quarter. That would allow Jim/John a little breathing room!
Many of us donate more per month than that. So please don't reduce your donation. We just need 5,000 regular pledgers to make things easier for Jim.
Are there 5,000 good Stewards out there who can afford $5/month to keep alive the Free Republic Life Form?
One way to afford this is to cancel your subscription to your left wing fish wrap or bird cage liner. Donate half of that monthly cost to your favorite charity and the rest to Free Republic. If you do this, you remove your money from the enemies of America and invest it with the friends of America, Free Republic! That would be a double winner for America!
Become one of the 5,000 Freepers who believe that there is no Free Republic lunch and that only parasites want something for free! Sign up for $5/month on a monthly auto payment plan!
"Years ago I decided to track every penny spent, and I was absolutely amazed how much went to snack food while in town. Starting bring food with us, much cheaper and more healthy anyway."
Once a year, the office, where my wife works, has meetings and updates on their 401k. Every year, many of the other women complain that they can't afford to participate. The complainers are usually the Starbucks's group. They stop at Starbucks for coffee and a pastry, $5 to ?$'s. Then, they go to out to lunch for $7 to ?'s. She points out each year that their Starbuck stop and outside lunch is about equal to her full 401k withholding per day. Without suffering, we have Starbucks at home, she packs a great lunch.
You and my point is that giving up a fast food stop or a Starbuck stop once a week and donating that money to FR is not a sacrifice.
"What would we do without FR?"
I would be permanently depressed with being able to get the truth and great stories from my fellow freepers.
Besides the news, Freepers are having a real impact with others in getting the truth out there.
All we ask is 17 cents a day or $5/month as a pledge.
The other alternative is to cancel the left wing newspaper that many Freepers subscribe to and send the monthly savings to Free Republic. This is a double whammy to the left. The Fishwrap/Canary cage liner loses revenue and a subscriber, and Free Republic gains a new monthly donor to become stronger.
Perhaps you suffer from a disability that prevents you from comprehending simple writing. As I mentioned, if I am asked for money, I in turn ask what is proposed for such funds. SOP, m'dear.
In fact, MANY people ask such questions, and are usually flamed for asking them. Flamed for no real reason. I am pleased that I got such a pleasant reply from Jim. I asked nothing untoward, and do not expect any idiotic replies such as I see bandied about frequently.
I'm not saying that your reply is idiotic, but I surely would rate it as nonsensical.
My liking this place has nothing to do with my question. I wonder where you conjured that from....
I did not suggest I was being forced at gunpoint to contribute. I wonder where you conjured that from....
Of course it's up to me. I asked so I could make the decision whether to give. You know, that little thing called 'analysis' which we conservatives employ in decision making.
Any other brilliant statements to make? I so rarely come down harshly on people, but I don't see where my question is even worth a reply from you, especially considering that Jim deemed it fit to answer.
Also in for $10,00 per month - lets go Freepers - keep FR online until the Dims give up in frustration!!

Thanks for your generous support!
Bumping good strategy and advice
Thank You A.A.E!!
Amazing! Your thread just keeps going, and going, and ... ;o)
Thank you, An.American.Expatriate!
It is a timeless thread until we have enough monthly Freeper donors who insure that the budget needs for Free Republic are fully met for a year.
Then we would have run the 5,000 Freepers Needed to handle life's normal turnover every once in awhile.
I just signed up for a continuing $10 a month. I figure, what better way to celebrate Independence Day than to commit to $10 a month for such a good cause? I spend that at the office coffee fund, and I like Free Republic more than coffee.
But it is close.
Meanwhile, come on, fellow Tennesseans. Time to Volunteer again.
Thanks for signing up as monthly donor!
A great way to celebrated the 4th of July as a conservative is to become a monthly donor on the 4th.
That makes is great!
Thanks for the bump from another monthly donor on Independence Day.
Monthly contributor bump
Thanks for the bump!
Thank you, Libertina!!
Thank you, TN4Liberty!!
Happy Independence Day!!
Bump from the only Dollar-A-Day FReeper in New Mexico. I wish there were more... it gets lonely being the only one in 121,000 square miles.

Thanks for the bump my friend!
This makes you a very unique Freeper. There are less than 100 of us, which I find incredible. Then, you are the only $/day Freeper from the Enchanted Land!
Hopefully, some day, you will be able to have a tagline that says: "The first $/Day Freeper of a long list of New Mexico $/Day Freepers!"
You should apply for Endangered Species Status. You are rarer than those damn Mexican Spotted Owls.
