Just as the Algerian war led to bombs in Paris and the Irish struggle to explosions in London, so September 11 is understood in much of the Third World as the moment when the struggle was brought back to the metropolis.Americans should let these murdering fanatics know they have never seen a level of death as they will experience from their war on America. They will be swept from the planet in droves if they choose to continue wholesale killing of innocent American civilians.

Don't forget the leftist love-affair as well.

Blacks in America are similarly delusional. It was Christianity within Europe that opposed slavery and eventually forced an end to it. The papacy forced the Spaniards to end slavery in Latin America, and British Evangelicals forced an end to it in Europe and America. Long before and long after the Europeans got involved in the slave trade, Arabs were slavers. In fact, the whole history of the Muslim world happens to include slavery as a central institution. For example the Mamelukes, a corps of elite warriors, were Christian slaves kidnapped as children from Europe.
American blacks who blame Christianity for the treatment of their ancestors are ignorant of history--which is not surprising, considering what distorted versions of history are taught in our schools and colleges. Many of their ancestors were taken by Arab slavers before they were sold to the Europeans. And their brother Africans in Sudan are being enslaved by Muslim Arabs to this very day.

I first realised that militant Islam was beginning to provide the ideological leadership for the Third World as a whole when I attended the mass rally at the ANC's national conference in 1992Long ago & far away I was against the ANC.... seems like birds of a feather flock together, and the leopard can't change his spots. I'm not surprised at all by this.

This is the saddest irony of the mass exodus of Black Americans to Islam. While there were certainly oppressive aspects to the way Christianity was inculcated to slaves, I can't imagine changing a name that was EARNED through the sweat and toil of my ancestors to one of a culture that STILL practices slavery in Mauretania and Sudan(and everywhere else, let's be honest)

Even if Israel disappeared tomorrow they will find another reason/excuse/scapegoat. And then the next and the next. The USA stands in their way of turning the whole world Islamic.
The Islamics are using the "third world countries" as useful idiots who will in turn themselves be the final conquest
And once we are all dead or muslims it will be the Arabs who will try to gain the ultimate power over all.

Third World radicals, who had always idolised those most intransigent in the face of American power, such as Ho Chi Minh and Fidel Castro, could not help being impressed by the even greater intransigence displayed by the kamikaze tactics of Islamic fundamentalists.
That's right. Good article. Thank you.

Most underdogs are not the good guys, most are petty evil little dictators who would as soon murder their own children as reliquish a ounce of their authority. If these are heroes to these countries, start taking names and cutting aid, because we may have to fight them someday.

As I like to say, people get the governments they deserve. The third world is third because they have cultures that are deficient in their ability to define and devise effective governmental and economic structures. A good part of their inability or refusal to achieve adequacy in terms of governance is their penchant to seek outsiders to blame for their problems. The truth is a harsh trumpet, but the truth shall make you free.
