YOUR bible is a pompous ass then, isn't it. Or maybe it's just your "missing-the-whole-point" take on it that is so.
I'm pretty sure that it's hard to minister to sinners if you don't sit down and eat with them, much to the everlasting chagrin of Pharisees of all ages.
"He was numbered with the transgressors."-Isaiah 53:12
But then, see? I can whack you on the head with scripture. It makes me a better person - much more holy and pious than thou - to demonstrate The Lord's love by spitting in the face of sinners. Gosh, it would be wonderful to just hide behind locked doors, desperately trying to feel superior, and preaching to an empty choir.
Sincerely, John Carroll.
P.S. I don't hate you personally, really. And Jesus still loves you. Benedictus.
No! Maybe you fail to realize that you are wrong. When a clear Bible passage is presented, then you must change your beliefs to fit what is clear:
Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him Godspeed; for he that biddeth him Godspeed is a partaker of his evil deeds. Now, you must either explain how this clear verse it taken out of context or you must change your beliefs. This passage is consistent with the Spurgeon sermon that anchors this thread. In either way, you must accept that it is you and you alone that has done nothing but insult and revealed that you are the one who is beating people on the head with your hammer.
BTW, I am perfectly capable of showing each and every single example that I gave you in my previous post to you.
