I wouldn't post such a sentiment but it does seem fair that one "franchise" ought to be able to criticize a competitor. They are both in the same line of work competing for the same customers and this is America where such competition is not only legal but encouraged. Go Reverend!!

Most Turks aren't Arabs. And they are likely to kill you for saying they are. Even the ones who are ethnic Arabs don't like the Syrians, Saudis, Jordanians, and Palestinians much. Where did you get your degree in Holier than thou? Mine is from the School of Hard Knocks. With some course work in The Community College of The Air Force, University of Maryland, University of Oklahoma, and a bunch of little cow colleges scattered over the US.

Buddha believed it was pointless for the "unenlightened" to even talk about God. That is why Buddha stressed seeking "enlightenment" first. The term Buddha of course is related to "bud" or "awaken", hence the term "One who has awakened". The Buddha represents the Indo-European view that each individual can find their own enlightenment through hard labor. The counterpoint is the Syriac or Semitic religions which one depends on "God" to save them.

You know, I come back to this thread to learn something, or catch a joke or two. You're posts to me are really getting in the way.
I didn't read any theology degrees there. Just a little self gradification.
This whole thread relates to Biblical phylosophy, not military viagra.
The pastor has the right, as well as Bliblical backing, to post the sign.
What you liked overseas has nothing do do with any of this.
If you don't like the pastors sign, don't read it! Nuf said!

you joined last month and you post on Islamic threads alone..it is pretty clear...
we have seen your people's terrorists threats..and actions... In the past, people like you did not fight infidels --- they left this to the crusaders. No, people like you killed their own. On a mere accusation of whitchcraft --- it did not matter whether the accusation was well founded or not. You killed your own when you burned at the stake Jordano Bruno, a Christian who thought that the Earth was not flat; it took the church almost three centuries to admit a mistake.
Based on my mere involvement in a discussion of bigotry (not Islam --- I an not qualified to discuss that), you conclude that I am a Muslim. You persist even when I tell you I am not.
Facts do not matter to you. Burn him at the stake!
I do not care who or how you worship.. I do care that buildings are being knocked down and Americans are killed. I do care that "Americans" dance in the streets in celebration.
I do not know why I should but I could, I suppose, tell you that my wife was saved on September 11 by a miracle. Did she not decide to run an errand before work, she would be on time for her usual train and missing in the World Trade Center today. I did not know that she missed hew train when the first plane hit. I did not know anything until she called.
From the far-away safety of your Idaho living room, however, you saw me dancing and celebrating the attacks with my "terrorist people." Please do tell that to my wife, would you?

"That is what I call pro-abortionists; tyranical barbarians." I see that my attempt at subtlety was wasted on you. You made my point.

"you seem to have included me on a list of apologists for Islam, or at least people upset with Rev. Graham and the pastor who put up the sign" Actually that was not the case at all, and I apologize if I gave you that impression. You had shown an interest in this topic which is the reason you were included on the list.

You remind me of something I heard long ago and the source of which I do not readily recall. Namely, that every person looks, one way or another, to the horizon. Should that horizon become more and more narrow as to shrink to a point, the person refers to it as his "point of view."
Your posts suggest that you may want to broaden your horizons before being "concerned about politics."
So, what university did you attend to get your Holier-than-thou God degree?
Holier-than-thou is an attitude, not a degree granted by a university. Attend one and you will see for yourself.
You may find this odd, but people can, and will, dissagree with you. This is far from odd; to the contrary, dissagreing is what they routinely do in universities.
It's something you may have to learn to accept. Any student, and probalby Old Student, has accepted this long ago. A person secure in his beliefs and knowledge is not threatened by an opposing view.
You too would not be so defensive had your knowledge and beliefs been backed up by more than one book.
You and the Koran appear to be twins, eh? There you go again...

Show me a reference to "The Trinity" prior to 125 A.D. When God has shown Himself to Abraham in a mysterous prefiguration (a hint to those who have eyes to see) of the Most Holy Trinity:
And the LORD appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day;
And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground,
And said, My Lord, if now I have found favour in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant:

Shouldn't you be at the Muslum church right now?Perhaps you misread my post: I said that
we are at war with the Muslim church and should deal with them without mercy. I see no moral dilemma in fighting the Muslim clerics and the bandits they have hired. The churches of all religions have at one point or another committed grivous errors.
I find it unacceptable and un-American, however, to fight against a religion. Jesus has not ordered the Crusades; the Church did.
Are you late for Alla worship? Mere opposition to bigotry does not make me a Muslim. There are plenty of Christians and Jews who oppose bigotry as well. Hindus and Buddists are well-known to be particularly unaffected by bigotry.
Please refrain from trying to push your religion on me. I have my own thanks. Not only I have never advocated my religion to you, I strongly oppose any kind of procelytizing. Furthermore, I respect your religion, whatever it may be.
The Koran is not mine. You can have it.Thank you. Should I find time to read it, I'll buy my own copy.
I would like to thank you for your post so full of brotherly love. I am sorry to say, but RnMomof7 has already beat you to accusing me of Mohammedism. I have already replied to her in my post 345.
Have a restful Holiday weekend.

"I apologize for raining on your parade" Not a problem...but concerning certain of said dimwits, I think YOU are wasting your time. LOL!

Pardon me. I thought we were discussing the subject. And,that as some subjects do, we digressed into things that would tend to support or disprove what we were discussing. If that is not the case, feel free to disregard my posts. I also replied to others, some of whom I felt might be interested in my take on the various subjects involved. And I specifically said the Pastor had the right to post what he posted, I merely disagreed that he posted for all military personnel. I happen to know that there are Muslims in our military, and some of them are serving on ships involved in the attacks on the Taliban and Al-Queda. I am not a Muslim, although I did investigate that faith once upon a time. I'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, what most non-members call a Mormon. There are some who deny we are Christians, and our church has been persecuted because some of our beliefs do not fit well with other Christian sects. I did not see you specify any theological degrees either, so it makes me wonder what right you have to express an opinion if I don't have that right--and the pastor does.

Her "miracle" has nothing to do with your defense of the indefensible. Who or what do you credit that miracle to? The moon god of Islam or Jesus Christ ,God incarnate? ..
BTW I am from NY not Idaho

As a Buddhist I'll say, "So what?" Buddha did not promote Christianity, so I don't see what the problem is. I'll say, "Christianity is anti-Buddhist." OOOOOHHH!!! How hateful!
To: TopQuark
Does Islam promote Christ? I don't think so.

Exactly how is a sign in Idaho like Nazis?
