Dear Fellow Freepers:
Please forgive this vanity, but I'm asking our many prayer warriors for their much needed assistance.
On Monday, November 19, my placenta ruptured and I underwent an emergency c-section to save my baby girl, Skylar. The folks at Baylor did a fabulous job of rescuing us both, but Skylar has since been transferred to a Special Care unit at another hospital and will probably remain there for many weeks to come. Despite being nearly 5 lbs. and 18" long, she's only 33 weeks old and still underdeveloped in many ways.
Could you please include her in your prayers? My husband and I feel particularly helpless at this time, and are turning to the One True Source of Power for help.
Thank you.

Glad you asked - will get to it right away - in fact, on my way to Thanksgiving Eve service at church.

Dear Folks:
Thank you, both of you! My stitches are tearing and my husband is demanding I rest, so I'm going to follow his orders for the evening. We're going to see her tomorrow, so I'll let everyone know how she's doing when we return.
Again, our sincere thanks!

Our Maximilian died after less than a day with us. Since he was baptized quickly, he is now a saint--and has proved particularly effective when asking God favors for small babies. I'll put him to work on this immediately. God is good and knows what is best--but it sounds as though Skylar will be fine, from your description.

Dear The writter I know this is hard for you. Our Prayers are with you. My son was born at 6 months. He could fit in my husbands palm. Was sick and had to stay with a machine to help him breath. Any help to you, they said, after he recovered he would be a runt. He's 13, wearing a size 10.5 shoe almost taller than my hubby. My daughter was a emergency c-section too. Now is 4 and healthy. The fact you could write this says you must be doing ok too. We hope you are doing well. Keep your faith. Believe God will care. Your baby will do fine. Prayers are with you from all of us who read. God bless.

My heart breaks for you....you'll be in our prayers and thoughts.
One of the "freepers" wrote to me, when I requested prayers just two weeks ago about a grandson (born without a soft spot, and about to undergo major surgery on his skull), ..."may God's angels gather around you and your family"...(there was more, but that's the phrase I remember most), I can't tell you how much that meant to me. So I'll say it to you.
I pray that all the beautiful responses you read here will bring you as much comfort and strength as it did me.
BTW, my grandson is doing marvelous - as will, I'm sure, your new sweet baby.

Prayers going up for Skylar...........Holy Father, we ask in Jesus' name that you send your angels to surround this baby girl, to nurture her, to give her strength as she continues to develop and grow into the gorgeous little lady that you decided to give to this couple. Your will be done, Father, and we thank You for all of your blessings, we thank You for Your mercy, and may You show Yourself mighty in this little girl. Bring peace to her mother and father; to her family, and let them know that Skylar is in the best of Hands, Father. May she grow to be a true lover of Your Son and a blessing to Your Kingdom. In Jesus' Holy Name, Amen.
(.......a prayer from a dad of 7, the most recent born a scant 2 months ago.........)
