Just in time to panic everyone at Thanksgiving time.....

Did I hear them say Waterbury CT? This one's a real mystery, if all is as it's being told. Like the NY lady, there seems to be no logical way to have gotten this.During the accidental release of anthrax in Central Russia during the 1980s, people were dying months after the release. The anthrax is in spore form - it can sit dormnant for months or years. This can make it quite devilish to trace it about...

Sen Dodd from CT had anthrax found in his office in DC?
To: RaceBannon
At some level I appreciate the need to maintain order, but I also have a feeling that the "Hush! Move along!" attitude regarding anthrax, the missing crop duster, and other stuff is going to bite us in the ass in a way that costs a lot of lives. I can handle the truth, and I hope someone starts tellin the truth about these risks.

Anthrax, Shmanthrax, let's all stop reacting and stop giving this group their 15 minutes. Having sex today is more dangerous than the statistical reality of anthrax. I don't see you all jumping poodles through hoops demanding you stop getting laid....

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Congressional sources tell CNN trace amounts of anthrax were found in the offices of senators Ted Kennedy, D-Massachusetts, and
Christopher Dodd, D-Connecticut, both located in the Russell Senate office building where an anthrax-laced letter to Sen. Patrick Leahy was addressed.
The small amounts of anthrax in the mail rooms of both senate offices mark the first time the substance has been found in the Russell building.
Both offices will be shut down at the close of business Tuesday to undergo further testing and decontamination.
Investigators believe it was cross-contamination and because of the minimal amounts found are not recommending medication for Kennedy, Dodd or their staffs, according to congressional sources.
Both the Russell and Dirksen buildings were shut down over the weekend for extensive environmental testing after a letter believed to contain anthrax addressed to Leahy's Russell building office was found late Friday at Virginia storage facility.

This can make it quite devilish to trace it about...And the person hit was elderly, they are much, much, much more vulnerable to inhalational anthrax. If there was a release somewhere near her, she'd be the first to get it.

This one's a real mystery, MY guess is the postal service. The OBL's unwilling partner.

"Not recommending medication for Kennedy?" Now that's a first. I guess liver failure has it's own immunity aspects.

ya know, between this, and the new finds in the Senate, I'm getting just a teensy weensy bit concerned - I just check my mail five minutes ago, and there was a letter from Senator Bob Smith in there...
Ah well, maybe I'll just go shopping...

Mostly electronic transfers now I believe.

If I heard correctly, they're checking her house, so if it came by mail, there should be some trace spores left behind. The lady in NY remains a mystery, because they found no anthrax anywhere in her house, where she works, or on the subway (how they can check that with any accuracy with so many people riding it, I don't know, just repeating what I read).

Quit panicing! Take a deep breath, and try to think of something pleasant. If that doesn't work, take off your shoes and run naked through the streets, screaming quotes from the autobiography of Felipe Alou.

There's a thought. Also, what did that SS Check run into elsewhere? I live here, and so do many Freepers, so, maybe this got in her house through rubbing up against Government mail? Just a guess.
