I like Mark Davis, he is usually right on, and doesn't let stupidity go unchallenged.
Turning the Tables: Journalists grilled on coverage of terrorism in local forum (Jennings' Waterloo)
One: Mr. Jennings is the perfect example of the socialist penchant for achieving status by dynastic appointment rather than by merit. Had his father not been a top executive in the media it is unlikely he would have his position.
Second: The War of 1812 is history, just as the Crusades are; the world has moved on. If Mr. Jennings (who refuses to get U.S. citizenship) wishes to re-fight the events of 1812 (which Canadian textbooks represent as their victory rather than the stalemate it was in the north) then he should return to Canada and do so instead of acting as an anachronistic fifth column here.
I feel better, for awhile there thought that I might be the only one who can't stand to listen to Mark Davis. Gary McNamara isn't much better, but that new guy on 570, Greg Knapp is pretty good.
But no one holds a candle to the schlock-meister himself, the king of hokie, the guy who makes even soccer moms gag, Marty Griffin.
AAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!! Someone, somewhere MUST have a clip. Maybe Petah would be willing to share with MRC, hmm?
FGS
(My comments are under "teenie_weenie_1").
The guy who confronted Jennings called into the Mark Davis show just a few minutes ago. (I was reminded why I quit listening to Davis.)
He said he was just wandering into the Cowboy game when PJ stopped him to talk to him. He said (I think his name was Steve), that he doesnt particularly care for him. He told Peter, responding to a question about life getting back to normal after 9/11, things would be easier without the media fanning the flames. He told PJ, I dont like you and I dont respect you. He then refused to shake Peters hand.
Mark Davis began to scold the guy for acting snottyand rude.
The guy stood his ground, although he did concede that Dallas conservative might have been better served with a more polite approach.
They (Steve? And Mark Davis) ended the call amicably.
I cant stand Mark Davis.
Why does that sound familiar?
