Here are the companies SBC has: Southwestern Bell,
Ameritech
Nevada Bell
Pacific Bell
SNET
Cingular Wireless
Sterling Commerce
Prodigy Communications.
Investors, please consider whether you want to continue your relationship with a company that rewards such men with high positions. Consumers, please consider whether you want to continue YOUR relationship with any of SBC's satellite companies.

Sure, drop this info on me now that the market is closed for the day.
I'll be selling my interest in SBC tomorrow.

Sound advice. If the bang up job this guy did for Algore is any indication of his business skills, these companies will be filing Chapter 11 soon........
To: Recovering_Democrat
You gotta be kidding me! You're going to FREEP a huge corporation because of who they have as PRESIDENT?!?! And that, not because the guy is a criminal, etc., but because he was on the side of the "enemy" in a perfectly legal dispute?
Some of you people have huge amounts time on your hands. What're you, on disability or something?

Yep, that's right, because he was on the wrong side. And if you've got the time to complain about it, then I sure have the time to do it.

No, I'm not kidding. Perhaps you want to support a company that rewards a man who made every effort to put an illegit Prez into office. I'd rather steer clear of 'em, if you don't mind.

How many corporations, large and small, have dedicated Democrat partisans at the helm? I think you'd be surprised (the corporate world almost certainly has as many raving liberals as they do conservatives).
You could spend your life "tracking down" these people and severing ties with them.
Some people need a serious reality check.

What exactly are you talking about? Gore ran a clean election and won the popular vote, in case you've forgotten. I may not agree with his positions, but I've got nothing bad to say about him personally. Maybe you need to get a grip...... just because you disagree with someone doesn't make him "the enemy".

Placing Daley as President of SBC means that SBC gets nationwide long distance rights when the 3 Democrat-2 Republican FCC panel votes, plus it means that SBC can't be shaken down by the race pimps, eco-terrorists (they are attacking cell phones now due to "damage" to people, trees, and animals from "unshielded" cell phones), and NOW. It probably means no anti-trust investigations as well as easy approval of future mergers, too. Of course, that's a wimpy way to manage all of the above, and I certainly don't support it. SBC's donations to Democrats will certainly ramp up somewhat now that Daley is at the helm.
Business can be war.

I'd rather just steer clear of them because their service is bad. And it is, in my opinion.

Huh? A "perfectly legal dispute?" Sure, planned with malice aforethought. I've had it up to here with pigs like Daley who abuse and corrupt the process to achieve their dubious ends "by any means necessary." It's been said that all is fair in love and war, and politics. Daley decided to play rough and got good and dirty himself.
Daley deserves nothing but contempt. And if SBC has hired the guy, it can only mean that they think their shareholders and customers are stupid enough to buy what he's selling. Sorry, no sale.

Oh, I don't think I'll need to "spend my life" tracking them all down, just the ones that come to my attention. Thanks for your concern that I don't waste my life, though. I really appreciate it.

Ever hear of the kid combing the beach, littered with dying starfish? He'd pick up each one he came across, and hurl it back into the ocean. "Why are you doing this, it's futile!" said an old man watching him. "You'll never get 'em all--how can you expect to make an impact?"
The boy picks up another starfish and says, "It makes a difference to this one."
I don't feel the need to "hunt down" every liberal hack in business. Sometimes I do business with them, and that's just the way it goes. But when I can I avoid doing business with those who happily support anti-Constitutionalists.

wow. been trolling long? oh, nope, MEMBER SINCE AUGUST 2001.

I agree. This decision by SBC is nauseating. I feel sorry for friends in San Antonio, clearly this company is going downhill fast.

"Gore Tax"
all the "Bell's" without a single whistle.
To: Recovering_Democrat
The name William M. Daley gives me nausea! This is the guy who kept demanding recounts and recounts till the results could be twisted in Gore's favor! Like his father before him, he is a sleaze and will always be a sleaze, crawling in the underbelly of big corporations and positioning himself for the next grab!

San Antonio Resident. Dumped Southwestern Bell because of Anti-Gun Views and support. Went with Sage Telecom. Haven't regreted it a bit and the decision has definitely solidified with this announcement.
DemocRATS and Daley are VERMIN

Maybe you need to get a grip...... just because you disagree with someone doesn't make him "the enemy Normally I'd agree with you, but we're talking about liberals. Liberals stand against everything that I believe in, personal responsibility, morality and ethical behavior for openers. So yes, they are most certainly my enemies.
To: Illbay
Yes, FReep them. SBC Communications is the biggest bunch of corrupt scumbags in the industry. Besides their lousy service, they are major contributors to the Clinton Library.
