[history]
The INS bureaucracy is a cesspool of elbow-rubbers, string-pullers, chest-puffers and cover-uppers who care more about protecting their backsides than upholding the law.
Look no further than the man who currently heads the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service's counterterrorism unit. His name is Walter D. Cadman. As you read his stomach-churning story, remember what internal whistle-blowers at INS have been warning for years: Mr. Cadman is not an aberrant exception among the agency's top management. He is the rule.

I love this lady and her work. I think the Ann Coulter policy should be extended to Michelle. No posts without Pics.

Why can't he be fired? This makes no sense. Is there some law now that once you get a government job you're guaranteed a government job for life?

The Libs can't touch her because her parents are Fillipino and came here LEGALLY! Michelle Malkin is a "person of color" so the liberal spin artists will not dare argue with her.

It's been like that for quite a while. That was the primary reason that the airport security people should not have been made federal employees. It's almost impossible to fire or even discipline them. And then we have to pay all those holidays they get off, and all the benefits that they get that our employers can't afford. Now you got me started! :^)

Your post reminds me of a story my brother told me. He fixes elevators and he was working in a federal building for a couple weeks and was amazed to note the federal employees' working schedule. He said they strolled into the offices about 10:00 a.m., drank coffee and talked to each other for about an hour-an-a-half, then they all went to lunch, came back in a couple hours, sat around and talked for another hour, and by 3:00 p.m., the parking lot was empty, they'd all gone home!
And now I find out they can't be fired!

I emailed this article to my congressman, asking him to read it, and then to write and tell me why something could not be done to correct this matter. Is it no wonder the American people do not feel safe and secure, with idiots like this working in our government?

INS is an understaffed (if top-heavy) agency, poorly-equipped.
Here in North Carolina in the past decade - while the state filled up with hundreds of thousands of illegals - they had only one office, and it was to cover both this state and South Carolina with only seven enforcement agents. Agents drove old Chrysler K-cars that were out of production - and lacked any kind of two-way radio. Their state office was one of the last police outfits in this state to get a fax machine.
Things have improved - somewhat, but too late. There are now three "quick-response" INS offices in the state - but they are so swamped that they do little but fake-ID sellers and deporting jailed felons completing jail terms. Meanwhile, the state now has 700,000 illegals - 10% of the population.

In yet another agency, Pres Bush is endangered by his failure to remove corrupt X42 holdovers.

Is there a picture of this clown? If so can someone post it?

The INS is just a mirrow on how Fed.'s will run airport security. It will go down hill as soon as the Fed.s take over.

Our govt. is really in serious trouble when creeps like this Jerk in the Ins can flaunt the system.
When the Inspector Generals office needs info during an investigation all records must be made available, Otherwise the country and the people are not being served. This guy Cadman could be charged if they wanted and he should be fired without severence or Benefits.
Michelle Malkin is one of the best writers in the business today and her work is truly outstanding. Go to WWW.Townhall.com and review her archives,it is worth the time, and she holds no punches and takes no prisoners.

A President has four years, max eight, to clean out all the rotting agencies. But to make the study that will prove the case, it probably would take ten years or more. So, a president cannot clean out the layers and layers of corruption. If all the law enforcement personnel, who are paid to be watching, are more worried about their pensions then honor, the system will just get worse and worse until we collapse under all the rot.

With all the Federal "Workers" at the IRS how come the Mellon bank in Pa. was working as a subcontractor to the IRS collecting Tax Returns and the Money?
MY Answer!!!, The idiots at IRS don't do any work and it is reported that they are surfing the net 70% of their day.
We wouldn't have found out, about this, if Mellon bank hadn't lost 40,000 returns.
The democrats must be driven from power and about 50% of the Republicans should go also.

The law will be out in force if a rancher tries to stop the illegals from coming on his property. They will be all over the rancher for 'taking the law into his own hands' when in actuallity it's the illegals who are taking the law into THEIR own hands. The rancher is just trying to return the law to the citizens of his state and country.

Why can't he be fired? This makes no sense. Is there some law now that once you get a government job you're guaranteed a government job for life? We have over 2.5 million federal employees. Can you name one that has been fired?
And, even when they commit the most egregious acts, such as with Robert(?) Hansen, they get to keep their pension.
