This story (link above) is filed by an AP Reporter, Kathy Gannon, who reports that a Taleban security worker ('former') states that in AlQaeda camp(s) in Kunar Province, deep in the Eastern Afghan mountains, the presence of what he thought are/were non-muslim North Korean individuals who were training the AQ terrorists different methodologies in handling various chemicals.North Korea is known to have a chemical and biological weapons manufacturing program, including smallpox and probably anthrax bacillus and sarin, etc. etc.

What are the chances that Al-Quaeda is in fact state sponsored -- with reps from a hideous coalition of Iraqis, N.Koreans, Iraqis, Iranians, Lybians, Cubans, etc... and the degree of separation from those states is simply their gutless way of waging war. But perhaps they do have an official plan.

That's called "cutting to the chase," and to a point you're right.

The North Koreans have an agenda of their own, and OBL's hard cash is certainly attractive to them -- especially since the terrorists also further NK's aims.

Where China comes in is if we do something to slap the North Koreans down, within the borders of North Korea.

I think we can probably avoid that difficulty by simply wiping out the North Koreans when and where we find them aiding terrorists. Thus, for the camps in Kunar Province, Somalia, Sudan, or wherever we find them, pound and burn the place.

The Koreans probably cannot afford to lose too many of these advisors, and pragmatic considerations ensure that they cannot complain when we kill them. It'll end pretty quickly.

No. I thought he just continued the approach of former administrations to open up China more and more to trade without really caring about the human rights aspect of it. But I can't remember any president ever saying no to that yearly trade evaluation of China because of human rights violations.
