From long talks to long walks, from cutting nuclear arsenals to chopping cedar, from limousines to "Gators", the U.S.-Russia summit goes casual and gets personal as it moves to President Bush's ranch.
President Bush made a statement late this evening regarding the rescue of the eight humanitarian workers in Afghanistan. Bush said that the rescue was coordinated with the Afghanis and local Red Cross officials. The eight workers are now safe in Pakistan. Wnjoy your daily dose of Dubya!
Laura looks great in her dress down outfit. What is the deal with W's sleeves? They are always hanging over his hands. He must like them that way. Makes him look like a little kid.
Sheesh...this will teach me to be late to the Dose. I had to read through 158 posts! Loads of fun though, I must say.
Bush toasted Putin, saying, ''Usually you only invite good friends to your home and that is clearly the case here.''
Putin responded in kind: ''The U.S. is fortunate at such a critical time in its history to have a man of such great character at its helm.''
High praise from Putin who recognizes what we Bush Babes all know but sadly the lamestream media doesn't.
Just think of the history in the making in Texas tonight! A Russian President spending the night in the home of an American President. And Dubya is the right man at the right time. Goodness me, I have such tears of joy to have this wonderful man as our President. I adored President Reagan, and went president Clinton and her husband slithered into the White House, I feared that I would never see another President who could speak into the depths of my heart with his very eyes, and not say one word. Oh, I don't even begin to know how to say how happy I am to have our Dubya.
Rintense, God bless you love for posting these pics each night. And God Bless America!!!
The crowd cheers as Russian President Valdimir Putin and his wife Lyudmila arrive at a Waco, Texas airport, November 14, 2001. Putin and his wife were planning an overnight stay at U.S. President's George W.Bush's Texas ranch. Bush plans to treat Putin to Western-style entertainment, Texas cooking and a tour on all-terrain vehicles of his beloved 1,600 acre (647 hectare) Prairie Chapel ranch. He also was planning to follow up on their Tuesday talks in Washington on a new strategic relationship. REUTERS/Jeff Mitchell
I'm still upset that he was only a very few blocks from me yesterday morning, but I didn't know about it until it was too late to finish getting dressed, dry my hair and run over there. GRRR!
Funny ... how NBC and my local news affiliate didn't bother to phrase it that way. They skipped over the "military rescued" part until a brief mention at the end. For all I could tell, if I had a mind to listen only to the first two sentences, these aid workers (the two Americans were ~Hello~ Christian missionaries arrested for telling others about Christ, but most news outlets don't want to say that) just meandered out into freedom on their own. Not exaggerating.
Can you imagine being ferried around by the President of the United States in his truck?
Can you imagine having the US President meet you at the helicopter landing?
Can you imagine the President inviting you and 22 of his closest buds to a Texas barbeque?
Can you imagine what a time the Putins are having?
And was not Mrs. Putin's gift of that yellow rose the height of civility and respect?
Can you imagine hildabeast holding her own umbrella?
(Sorry, just had to throw in one comparison.)
They like you! Couldn't you give them another chance?
Seriously.
I also believe the Putins are going to want with all their hearts to return the favor in their homeland, and the two couples will come up with some creative reason to put it all together.
I didn't hear about that. Can you define "terrible mess"? Did the silver fall out of hillary's hidden shawl pocket? Was the "First Lady" angry? Did Mrs. P spill food on her heinous? Or ??
I learned on another post, that Putin is a black belt, and a jet pilot among a few accomplishments. Fitness is another quality that both he and Bush have in common.
he...he...he..
Imagine how James Baker must feel that he helped secure the victory for 43? After all the good things he's done with his life, if he is planning on bowing out of the public eye, that is surely a fine note to end a symphony.
Look at this photo Timeout found that will be on the cover of the stinking New York Times tomorrow. These people should have their commitment to America questioned in public by someone who has some authority behind his / her name.
