I think what was always high, was Clinton's job approval rating. It never seemed to change because the economy was good. But his personal rating was always very low.

I don't think a lot of people understand what Clinton's "high" approval ratings were. His highest EVER approval rating (and he wasn't able to sustain it) WAS 20 POINTS LOWER than Bush's. Clinton's high is in another world from Bush's.

The only reason the economy was good under Clinton's watch, was that the media broke their liberal backs telling you it was great. With a conservative president like Bush, they break their liberal backs telling you how bad it is.
