"President Bush's job approval rating shows no sign of decline. The latest Gallup poll, conducted Nov. 8-11, measures the presidents approval rating at 87%. Bushs job approval has remained at 86% or higher in seven polls conducted over two months. In the history of Gallup polling, no prior presidents have been able to sustain their high approval levels, with no apparent decline, this long." Full Story
I agree that they will make that attempt, but the economy is not about political correctness, where the libs have the upper-hand. This is about our jobs and our bank accounts. It won't float. While the economy was strong, things were too good for the American people to be concerned with the details. America was fat and happy, so the lies, VRWC theory and political correctness worked.
Now that people have hada tax rebate, and we have lost our jobs, we have time to slow down and measure the information. This is a time when the public will listen with their brains, and not with their feelings. But, we have to begin the education before we come out of it, or once again, they won't listen.
Of course. Daddy's boy only applies to Mr. President Bush, doesn't it?
Two Presidents have held the office after their fathers. Just two. If your statement were true, all presidents would've been maned Washington. Give me a break. Perhaps Harry Browne ought to marry into the Bush clan? No, that's not enough for me. Tha is you real issue, isn't it? If he and his dad were Libertarians you'd be having a great time over it. But they weren't, were they?
The Roosevelts were of different party affiliation, and Ted had to change partys to run again. His family name did him no good, did it?
And this is news to whom?
No. You accused the President of getting his job, simply because he is a Bush. You did not want to consider the idea that Gore is also a son of a powerful politician.
You don't want to deal with that, so I see that you aren't really concerned with the facts. Like a person who wants to stand up for his comment, you want to resort to name calling.
I think that I already expected that. Thanks for proving me right. Next time I want to call someone on their post, I'll try to overlook you, since you can't stay on point.
Then why do you not attribute the same family luck to Gore in your origianl post? Bush ran agains Gore, and they both come fro rich and powerful families. You just couldn't brng yourself to attributing that same thing to Gore, could you?
Then, after I did, all you could do is play the dumb game. I looks bad on you. That and calling me a p....! It looks real bad on you, especially since you resorted to that after I called you on your post.
Oh, and Gore is to Bush's right? That is why you saw fit to exclude Gore? I see. You are too funny!
I was challenging you, and you were running. If you think that is an attack, hang around.
And that is the problem. You are strictly dissing President Bush, by pointing out that he a family member of a powerful political family. What you fail to do is admit that ore was cut from the same mold. You also find it worthy to point out that you think that President Bush is to JFKs left, while not aditting that Gore is to Bush's left.
You won't talk about Gore, because you know that you can't win the argument. It's not really about President Bush being from a (1) powerful family, or (2) being to the left of JFK. Both of those things are true of Gore, and President Bush won because he was (and is) to Gore's right.
This is about you having an attitude that Harry Browne is still a candidate. If you wanted an honest debate, you'd include Gore, but you've had many opportunities to do that, haven't you?
