"President Bush's job approval rating shows no sign of decline. The latest Gallup poll, conducted Nov. 8-11, measures the presidents approval rating at 87%. Bushs job approval has remained at 86% or higher in seven polls conducted over two months. In the history of Gallup polling, no prior presidents have been able to sustain their high approval levels, with no apparent decline, this long." Full Story
You invited terrorism when you fell for Bush's claim.
Really crude of us to think that stopping more WTC abominations might be in our national interests. Sorry we aren't all as refined as you.
Never before has our nation been under attack.
Clinton dodged the draft, ran to Europe, somehow was allowed into Soviet Russia where he engaged in anti-American protests.
If clintoon were president right now, he'd be running to Red China for safty!
Heck, he screamed when he recieved a bad batch of "unknown medicine viles" that got contaninated by saliminilla when they rotted!!! He screamed like a drunkin baby!
Psst ... I don't think it's any secret I believe Bush is just doing as he's told. Believe it or not, they've rarely put the real brains on the front burner ... for certain not since that sunny day in Dallas, Texas.
I'll grant you Nixon was cunning but he had such a fatal slavish devotion to being part of the Inner Ring, he never dreamed -- and probably didn't realize -- they sold him out for effect ... a wound of a dialectic they could pick to bleed at their leisure until it was time to close it over with confessions of red-diaper babies and the compassion of the pro-choice right and drown us dead in the warm bath of the bipartisan middle.
I'll also maintain Reagan was the only president since Roe who could actually articulate a compelling argument for Life in which it appeared he believed wholeheartedly. 'Course, they tried to kill him and then his brains got scrambled. Whatya gonna do?
You are a very hard person to agree with. I guess I'll have to give up (on replying to you, not in agreeing with you).
Lol... "They" again. Thanks, Mrs. Rivero!
Hold that thought, will ya?
I'll go type up a little "short list" of terror groups and nations that harbor them so we all can continue this discussion of "Bin Laden's Cells" and "Islamic" rage over oil profits with a perspective that might render absolutely ludicrous the notion that Bin Laden ... or even the entire arc of militant Islam ... is anywhere near the Head of the Snake.
(And I know someone's who's probably got stacks of who knows what hard copies holding her bookshelves level.)
Do you really believe that those friendly to the Bush camp tried to kill Reagan? Mind you, anything other than a "Yes Or No" will be considered a "Yes".
Please reply.
Seriously, Radical Islam demanded a clash of civilizations. So while denying it we are engaging them and winning. We are in the process of utterly devestating their base in Afghanistan. Next possibly is Iraq, then likely it is Hizbulluh. Then probably assist the Russians with the Chechens and the Algerians with their beasts (if anyone can be more evil than the Taliban, the animals who make up the "Islamic Opposition" over there are the poster boys; their activities are a laundry list out of Hell). Perhaps Powell can pull of the impossible and get a comprehensive peace deal in the Middle East, at the very least efforts can be made to bring Hamas to heel (especially if Hizbulluh receives the Taliban treatment).
And, yes, we do create our own enemiesin this case due to opportunity. Under Clinton we coddled every Islamic dirtbag, from Albanian squatters to Fatah thugs. We left the impression to bin Laden that we were chumps, stupid ones at that.
Anyhow, W. is fixing the problem.
I'll ignore the insult, since generally your posts are more thoughtful. The experiences of living through 9/11 and its aftermath; having to work five blocks upwind from GZ has mellowed me out. An experience such as standing on the corner of Sixth and Bleecker with my six-year-old daughter, watching the north tower fall, changes a man.
I think I have likely misunderstood you, based on the italisized 'we' above. I must confess that I never considered anything X-42 did as something 'we' were involved in.
