And, there is something like a 75% fatality rating for those who actually GET the disease....I will gladly take MY chances with the vaccine....didn't kill me the first two times I got the "scratch" on my upper arm.

Those of over 35 have almost all been vaccinated once at least. This was a REQUIREMENT to be enrolled in public school, universities, going into the armed services, or going abroad. It was darn near mandatory except for a very few religious groups.
I will take the vaccination, and I will make darn sure everyone in my family gets it. Smallpox is not anything to take chances with.

Yes, 3 million is a lot, but 75-100 million is a lot more. AND, if you beat the odds and survive, you will be pock marked. No upside to small pox. Heard it described on another thread as looking like you'd been worked over with a pick axe. Yes, 3 million is a lot but I'll take it over 75-100 million without vaccinating. I know there are a lot of older people who've been vaccinated, but we don't know how effective those old vaccinations are or if they allow you to survive yet riddle your face with scars.

Forgive me if this has been posted in this thread already, but the fatality rate is only 30%, not 75.
