Those old vaccines aren't as effective after about 5-7 years, if I'm not mistaken.

You are mistaken. The old smallpox vaccines MAY be effective for life, according to some specialists.

I'll take my chances with the vaccine. I'd rather be bled to death out of my fingertips than die from smallpox.

I'm with you, sink! I'll take the shot! I have seen pictures of people with smallpox and it is one ugly disease. Plus, the death is not pretty. People that get angry that the President may want to protect them from themselves make me a bit ill.

I've been vaccinated twice. The first time was the mandatory one in school, probably around age 8, which produced the normal 3/4" scab and scar. Then, I was revaccinated about 25 years later, in the late 60's, and the reaction was much smaller. I was told I'd probably be immune for life because of the double shot, but if it comes around again, I'm taking it.
