What a speech!! IMO, the best yet.

But I must draw a contrast - it just screams out to be done.

A certain junior Senator from New York goes before a crowd of police and firefighters two weeks ago in New York's Madison Square Garden to give an introductory speech, and she is booed from the stage.

A certain President of the United States, exercising ultimate gravitasTM, goes before a crowd of police and firefighters in Atlanta and receives a hero's welcome.

I think the junior Senator from New York has to be wound so tight this morning that her broomstick broke.

On the war front:

In the South Asia Theater of Operations (SATO), NA ground forces are reportedly moving on Mazir-e-Sharif. No word on whether the city's fall is imminent.

The Stennis CBG is on its way to SATO and will take station in the Arabian Sea.

On the Home Front - the Government has turned to using a Civil War sedition statute to both detain and prosecute suspected terrorists. It's sort of a natural follow on when you announce a jihad against the United States.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

I think I'm seeing a pattern here, esp. when UOx42 writes his own speeches.

It would be an interestin exercise to lay (pardon the word) his Columbine "roots of hate" speech along side his Georgetown "roots of terrorism" speech and see how it's always some group that's been right before our eyes all along at fault for all of this (hint: think pale, straight, conservative....).

Despicable, easily refutable, and probably will not get any scrutiny because of who said it and who's covering him...

Ceci Connolly was the Washington Post reporter on the panel. She stammered around and the "wants to get in the spotlight" comment was a feeble excuse because she didn't want to admit what she KNEW TO BE THE TRUTH. She actually looked a little sick. Brit Hume kept repeating and repeating the words, and Fred Barnes was ballistic!! Mara had a sick grin on her face, and even she couldn't defend the speech. The best she could say was that he rambled and didn't make himself clear. Ha!

Final note before I head to work: they interviewed Jack Kemp, and Newt, on Hannity and the Puke last night, and all praised Dubya's speech, but very politely ripped x42's ramblings.

This is yet another example of the prestitutes trying to have it both ways.

For crying out loud - WHO controls the spotlight? Hmmm?

IF, as the Pravda purports, it was an attempt to get in the spotlight, then WHY did the media - including the Pravda - choose to aim the light in his direction?

I REALLY hate it when media report a story and then try to backpedel when the heat follows by somehow suggesting they had nothing to do with it.

There must be an awful lot of folks working in the media with psychological issues for them to keep pulling off this multiple-personality disorder syndrome.

Our president is doing well and the world recognizes it.
