Both of them are do this "No Charge" for an injured Vet. That pushes them pretty high up the respect ladder in my book.

"I simply believe the city was correct - period."

And I believe with all the different "stories" they tell
they are like Clinton saying "I did not have sex with that woman."

I just sent an e mail suggesting putting this vicious dog to sleep.

Well! I can see you did not return from Nam without your own set of problems! You should seek some help my friend.

"and vicious dogs are put to sleep ALL THE TIME!."

IF this was true then why didn't the animal control do this months ago?
The city stories just don't add up in my book.

I think during these troubled times peoples emotions are clouding the issue. This man was squatting on a public monument with a vicious dog, He had an AGENDA of protecting the monument from a TERRORIST ATTACK!. His actions and behavior were BIZZARE and threatning to say the least. I still stand by my statement the police had no choice but to remove him from the area. ALL states conficate dogs that bite people and most destroy them after the second bite.

His AGENDA of protecting the monument, imo, was overstated. He had apparently been at the same monument before the attacks. It is obviously someplace he felt that he would be safe and left alone. He is a Vet. The monument is HIS too!

That dog bite brings up a good question. Why was the dog not taken into custody then? If was, after all, back in April when that happened. Do you think that maybe it is a red herring right now just being used to cover their asses?

Ok I read all 4 threads.

Being a Vet doesn't make you immune to the law, neither does being mentally disturbed. Sounds like you guys are indulging this guy's delusion of protecting a monument in the traffic median of a public street and your solution is what? To let him and his dog live there? What about the person that was bit and what about the people who are afraid to go to the monument for fear of being bit?

BTW, where's the outrage for this guy camping out at a memorial? Is that showing respect? Does FR have a homeless lobby now?

So tell me NAMMARINE we would agree that chesty was a Marine's Marine,
but was he a heartless SOB?
tough as nails he was,
but he was also fair and measured.
The one thing that endeared Chesty to his troops and angered the establishment was the way he spoke from the heart.
and in doing so often was at odds with everyone above him.
Why is it then that Chesty earned 5 Navy Crosses and never recieved the Medal of Honor.
Yeah I don't think Chesty would kick a man when he was down, he never did when he was in the Corps.

Funny how you would call me out for huffing and puffing after you stuck you foot in your mouth last nite!

These city stories don't add up for me either. If someone walking in the park was bit in May 2001, something would have happened to TJ back then. Bumping for a reunion for Mr. Northcut and TJ
