Is our system a system of Caesar? I think not. At least it wasn't meant to be. After all, what's to stp Caesar from taking the other half of your income? Or everything?

This is America. Freedom rules. get it?

Yeah, I get it. America is founded on the RULE OF LAW. Some ranting militia nut prancing about and publicly defying the law is just as disgusting as a Clinton and Reno publicly defying the law.

Here here! Perfectly stated. William Cooper was an American patriot who truly believed in the concept of a constitutional republic, a concept which has suffered much erosion in recent years. I recommend his book "Behold a Pale Horse" to everyone on this board. While his ideas would be considered extreme to many, they nevertheless represent legitimate concerns to all those who would safeguard liberty in this great nation. William Cooper will be greatly missed, but that for which he stood will surely live on.

For now it rules but a few more acts of congress and it will not.

There are a particular group of statist religious fanatics who regularly use that quote out of context. I dont even generally bother to argue it with them any more. Their holy man told them what it said and that was good enough, dont bother actually reading that book.

Then there is the issue of "Ceasar". Generally they dont understand who Ceasar is in our form of government and no amount of remedial history will change their viewpoint. They have voluntarily become serfs in the cult of authoritarian Republicanism and like it.
