Sheriff's Deputy Shot; Suspect Killed

A sheriff's deputy in eastern Arizona is hospitalized in critical condition after being shot while trying to arrest a suspect. The suspect was in turn shot and killed.

The confrontation occurred in the town of Eager around midnight.

Department of Public Safety spokesman Officer Steve Volden says the Apache County sheriff's deputy was shot twice in the head. He was airlifted to a Phoenix hospital.

His name wasn't immediately released.

Volden says the deputy was among several officers who were attempting to arrest 58-year-old William Milton Cooper of Eagar.

Volden says Cooper had been armed with a handgun. He says details of the shooting will be released later at a news conference. DPS was called in to investigating the shooting.

This sounds like a hit squad, if you are the law dress like the law, what is this cammo/rowdy teenager thing?

Please note that this was the THIRD attempt to serve the warrant.

Were you military when you held your Secret? Q is a DOE clearance for nuclear secrets. Go to www.knoxnews.com and search the employment classifieds for the word "Clearance." You'll see Q mentioned a few times. Here in Oak Ridge, where we do a lot of nuke work, there's a lot of Q clearances.

There is a difference between UFO's and aliens.

Do you have any UFO or alien encounters you'd like to share with us?

I've read it. It's obvious you haven't. He makes it very clear that the US signed a secret treaty with the Large-Nosed Grays to allow them to abduct humans for experiments in return for access to advanced alien weapons technology.

Wow, he made E-6 in 8 years during Vietnnam era. Know guys who made E-6 on time-in-grade waivers within one year in-country, and these were not Shake 'n Bake NCOs.

Making E-6 in the Navy, in particular during the years immediately following the Vietnam War, was difficult. Eight years was pretty quick for Cooper's time frame. The Navy did not have battlefield promotions, that I am aware of.

I am wary of them. Didn't old Bill say in Behold a Pale Horse that if anything ever happened to him it was the Freemasons? I've probably already said too much.

He was in PBRs DURING 'Nam. Trust me, if he were worth a damn, he'd have gotten a battlefield promotion.

You got that exactly right. These scenarios will continue to play out across this country, as the fed. assumes more control (via training, gadget give aways, monies, etc.) over local law enforcement. These scenarios seem quite provocative and foreign to what many of us grew up with.

Hey, he made dead pretty fast too.

I didn't note that, your right. Well then do you think he opened fire because he was afraid he wouldn't make it to jail alive? It's hard for me to understand why someone would not accept being arrested, what motivates them. I mean my gosh, pay the darn fine/bail and have your day in court.

Having read his stuff and seen him at a Whole Life Expo (hey, I was trying to get it on with a sweet young thang who believed that she'd been abducted), I'm of the opinion that he really believed everything he said. Maybe he BELIEVED that he was going to be murdered by the sheriff's deputies.

And when you're dealing with someone who is...reality-challenged...their BELIEFS may wind up calling the tune.
