WHO CAN GET A "BALLAD OF MIKE MORAN" CD TO IMUS???

Here is the previous thread: BALLAD OF MIKE MORAN is recorded

THE BALLAD OF MIKE MORAN was recorded on Thursday and we are ready to ship CDs to radio stations. One of the big problems, however, is that some places may have trouble accepting mail because of the anthrax scare. Also, some may just ashcan the thing.

Vetnet and I are particularly interested in getting a copy immediately into the hands of Don Imus and Sean Hannity. Can anyone in New York deliver a copy to each of them for us? How about Rush?

In many cities, we may need your help to get them to people like Don and Roma in Chicago, Michael Medved in Seattle, Neil Boortz in Atlanta, Michael Savage in San Francisco, Mike Barnicle in Boston, etc.

Who can be of help in any of those cities?

Go check your e-mail. I've heard from Mike Moran and John McCaslin.

What a great pair of messages!

I'm sending a handful of CD's to Mike Moran for ladder company 3.

Any freepers know any national retail distributors (like 7-11 stores) that might carry the CD's for the cause? How about WALMART stores? There must be some FREEPER WAL-MART buyers/managers/employees in here somewhere!!

7-11 is sending me a vendor application. Apparently, they are not prepared to accept delivery of one million CDs today. :)

A CD was delivered to KIIS FM in Burbank and two to KABC in Los Angeles. The KABC delivery was an adventure. They have a guarded gate and new procedures. They do not accept anything unless delivered by a courier service of FedEx. I got on the phone and called into the station trying to reach Larry Elder's producer, Les Siegel, but all I got was a voice mail. Luckily I was able to get through to Monya, who produces now for Gloria Allred and Mark Taylor. She has screened by calls probably over 100 times and vouched for me. They let me in.

Now, I guess I am going to have to fly to Atlanta, San Francisco, Chicago, Houston, and Florida since we don't have any FReepers in those places.

I have emailed several stations and have left messages for them in Houston as well. The most popular AM station is just across the freeway from my office and if I had a CD I could easily deliver it to them.

Are you playing that song on RadioFreerepublic tomorrow night?

Does anyone know whose hosting the show tomorrow?

Did any Pittsburh Freeper contact you re Jim Quinn in Pittsburgh? If not, I can call him and work out how to mail it to him so he will be sure to get it. He highlighted a website of mine before on his show and website before, so I can hopefully get one through to him. Hand delivery is best, though.

I have talked to the people that I told you about; they are eagerly awaiting arrival of CD. If mailed out 11-06, it might be in my PO box tomorrow.

Re Houston, does Carol-HuTex live in Houston?

Thank you very much for the help. A Houston area FReeper already volunteered. Still looking for help with Don Wade in Chicago and Neal Boortz in Atlanta. Hey, maybe the crybaby from the Hillary site would deliver it to Boortz. :)

I'll call Quinn in the morning then. Will send you the mail info for him after I set it up with him. Jim spent a LOT of airtime on Mike's statement, played it over and over. He's definitely not too squeamish to play the song.

His website is at www.warroom.com. Shows are archived (without the Pittsburgh weather, traffic, and commercials). I listen while I Freep.

I think prisoner6 knows Quinn. I've never met the guy. There is another very good conservative talk show host in Pittsburgh, Jerry Bowyer, WPTT 1360 AM from 8-noon. His station is all talk so I don't think they pay AFTRA fees and have problems playing more than 60 seconds of any copyrighted music.

I don't know why I didn't think of this til now. Doh!

John Boy and Billy, syndicated in about 100 cities now, mostly southeast, morning drive time. Their based at WRFX-FM in Charlotte, NC. They are very funny and irreverent good ole' boys who OWN the mornings in the towns they are in. I used to live in Charlotte; these guys are hilarious. They are Republicans who love "W" and have always been gung ho patriotic.

ATTN Charlotte area Freepers!
